This song is very beautiful. I am a Japanese. But I love this song. I respect the Chinese people who struggled against the Japanese forces, because most of Japanese were the victims of the Japanese militarism.

@hadakanotsukiai Militarism is a mistake, but no one is in the clear in a war. This however is all the more reason to step up to the plate and acknowledge them as such and remember them. Remember so that future generation cannot simply repeat the same mistakes all over again. Nothing will change if one simply neglect the mistakes of one's youth.

Thanks flamewitygulnyc. My chinese side of the family speaks fookienese, so I really had to study the right pronunciation of this song (to give justice to it). I studied mandarin in school but since fookienese is the widely spoken chinese dialect in the Philippines, I kind of lost it (mandarin). By the way, I'm a brother. I'm half filipino half chinese. I sang this song in one of the chinese cultural concert in manila. Eventhough I grew up in manila, I still embraced my chinese heritage and I am damn proud to have chinese blood in me.
