I know Willie and Merle can do an excellent job of this song, but it so discourging to see and hear the Greats on someone's cell phone camera. I think Willie is the greatest anyway.... Thanks MrEhere
Dylan creates each and every night on stage. If you want to hear the same you got on the album, then, stay home. No offense, but when someone can build and re-build his songs night after night, that's what I call ART...
Im sorry but I have never cared for Dylan. It is just that I see no talent from him...plus he has this strange effect on me about like Slick Willie and Hanoi Hillary, they make me puke just looking at them regardless of the lies and crap they spout. Merle Haggard was and is great, Willie Nelson is ok....dont you just hate it when someone sees things so different than you....
No hate at all, believe me. I respect Willie and specially Merle (and even have seen him live). I just prefer the way Dylan does, that's all. I know we're not billions of Bob's fans...
You like whom you like, I am unable to stomach Dylan crap, before I would listen to Dylan mumble anything, I would rather hear a Bill Clinton speech and I lack the words to express how I detest that sorry sack of shit clinton.
Ok, don't worry, I'll keep in mind not to play my cd player too loud whenever you're around. Don't want you to have an a heart attack or something...
Anyway, I think Dylan deserves some respect, don't you? He's written some of the capital songs in r'n'r history. Then, you don't like his voice or his "phrasing" or whatever? Ok, but he does have talent.
I have to agree with you wholeheartedly. People pay good money to hear this clown but just because he is probably fed up doing the song on a regular basis he changes everything. Nelson has ahabit o9f suiting himself and I feel the song loses a bit of soul when the person delivering it gets bored. I dont believe it is fair on country music fans. On saying all this what a talented guy he is - him and Merle do a superb job on the album which includes Poncho and Lefty.
I love willie but I wish he would sing on the beat the way we know his songs. I am sure it gets boring singing the same song night after night but I hate when singers change the tune of a classic just to keep themselves interested. It defeats the purpose of us going to see them. Dylan is the worst at this in my opinion: he's got some of the world's best songs and you don't even know which one he is singing when you see him live!
great guys ;))

Part of Willie's style is singing off beat. He and Waylon created themselves by not following the norm and that's the way I love it.
