@TheBobtheboss Actually, they didn't. Because they didn't use a near frictionless material, if they did... they would have gotten the same result. Ideal physics calculations back up this video. This isn't just a guy on a water-slide, so what did mythbusters bust? That you can't do this in exactly the way this video doesn't show. What did they prove? That you can do it accurately. Reduce the friction and this works. 100% plausible.

This is a real video totally possible. The smack of the water would have hurt like hell but with all the scuba padding and insolation he wouldn't have been hurt to bad. Plus, the pool does move a bit but not quite as much as you'd think because of the amount of the water there is. When you calculate in friction, he would have almost no velocity coming off of the ramp and definitely not enough to make it to the pool. There's a video of the guy sliding down only to be (gasp!) stopped by a rope so he doesn't even make it half way down the slide. The "man" flaying into the pool is an animation.
