  • i really dont get the point of having the jimping all the way up the balde it seems very unessecary

  • Sweet knife!

No surprise though that a knife whose blade is both tapered AND swedged, with jimping to boot, would be mediocre for batoning. Honestly, I'm surprised its even mediocre - I bet it tears the hell out of your baton.

This is a fighting knife. No shame in that at all - but everything about it is geared to make it better for doing nasty things to flesh, and there is no way around that. It will only ever be mediocre for utility use.

    Again, sweet knife. I'm jealous.

  • actually you can fit a medium sized pocket knife in there

  • Sorry but this review sucks,

this is the ultimate sculpting in a blade, wonderful steel, the handle is superb,

didn't care for the handguard but a nice accessory, I shortened my handle and now the blade is in its own class, great large fighting knife, yet fairly light for the size of the weapon, agreed a good fighter/jungle survival blade,

    SOG makes superb blades

  • @sunaJH Wanna know amazing? Cold steel. The SEALs carry it but still dude Don't troll because you disagree with the review It quite the knife

  • @FlyingBladePool

Cold steel does make great stuff yes, but your review sucks, sorry, it's not trolling, if you post a review like this you must expect people who know what they are talking about to call you on it:)

take care, keep working on it:)

  • Actually the little pouch on the sheath has room for a Leatherman Wave, but it sure does not fit a SOG PowerAssist that I bought just fore this purpose. SOG should have an alternative for this sheath. Thanks for the the review.

  • Nice review. I think the orignal seki model is much better.. i regard SOG as a collectors knife. If you want a knife to use in the bush, buy fallkniven A2 or cold steel trailmaster. But i must admit, the original Tigershark is really beautiful. After all, its the knife of John Locke, but i prefer the SEAL 2000 knife, its shorter and more agile.

  • i really wish that SOG would use the same style sheath they used for the Seal Team Elite. Or atleast made this sheath so it can hold the knife without the hand guard, that would be the first thing to go if i bought it. But other than that i LOVE this blade

  • Nice review, I bought it. But the sheath is crap, Are there any alternative nylon sheaths for the tiger shark?

  • @syrianization can't seem to find any nylon or leather sheaths for this knife, unfortunately the Tigershark isn't that popular therefore many custom sheath makers don't make sheaths for it.

  • Great review! But what did you mean by "the defensive point won't stay on very well (without the finger guard)" ?

I thought the defensive point was held in by the screws...

  • @ZenithF0RTE Maybe it was just mine, and it doesn't happen with all of them, but when the hand guard is not on while the point is, there is a tiny space in between the point and handle, and I guess after a little bit of time, the torx screws just worked themselves loose. With the hand guard on, the point has no where to move and so far on mine they have stayed fairly tight. Maybe the first time I didn't have the screws tightened up enough? Hope that answers your question

  • @TheSherminator64

    Yes it does, thank you!

It's a little disappointing about the defensive point. Like yourself I wasn't crazy about the finger guard at all.

I didn't even mind the fact that the sheath had zero retention without the finger guard.

I was at least hoping that the defensive point would work without the guard...ah well.
