I have this laptop. I use XP for about 3 things, for everything else I use Ubuntu Linux. Much more stable.

You're right about 2 things. I don't have a netbook yet, and I am sexy. But that doesn't mean you can use one better than I can. I've used computers all my life and not just for gaming or whatever it is you do. All a netbook is, is a simplified laptop with longer battery life. I have friends with the 904 and the 900. Those products have reviews as well as specs for a reason. They have no reason to lie about them. It's all in how you use it. loser.

If youve been using computers all your life, you would know battery hours are always over exaggerated. You cant get 5 hours. Read on the forums.

the resolution of the camera is 0.3 megapixels. He says you should keep programmes to a minimum, yet I've packed my 904HD full of programmes and films and yet its only got 900mhz ! and still really fast

If you can afford a HA then go ahead but the HD is far more affordable (£235)

cant really have a SSD hard drive there :) completely 2 different things. SSD=solid slate drive, no noise no CD for memory. its a built in flash drive. shock proof too. and HDD hard drive (or hard disk drive) exactly the opposite of the above. u kno, just saying :D

well theres two things you can do, check the system specs to make sure XP will run on it, burn the iso file to a usb and install xp, or, as you said 'to make it accept .exe files' theres a linux programme called 'wine' have a look and try that out, works wonders! runs in linux and lets you run programmes for windows and for mac (all on your linux comp)

Ahh, nothing has really changed since the Aspire One came out until Asus came up with the retarded idea of turning Eee PCs into Tablets at CES. 160GB HDD, multi-touch, "up to 6 hours of battery life", Atom and 1GB ram, 1024x600 resolution, 8'4" paper? The AAO has offered the same features months before this came out and for a lower price, only the AAO doesn't have a shrunken right shift key.

The 6 hours battery life is bull shit. My laptop has a 6 cell lithium iron battery and that only lasts 3 hours with the low power settings.

Nice review however he hasn't done much studying on the previous Eee pc's. I own a Eee pc 900 version. It looks almost the same the downside is it only comes with 8gig hdd. The upside bigger screen and doesn't come with the atom processor. Apparently the atom processor is not as good as the previous processors as it doesn't run at the same speed.

Yes this is correct, it has more processing memory but it doesn't process it as fast as the Celeron. There was alot of arguments when asus eee pc 901 was released as it was the first eee pc that had the atom processor.

One day laptops will be the way for gaming. Alienware products are great for gaming atm. Its greatly used to take to a friends lan party if you don't want to take your tower with you. You can get peripherals if you perfer such as mouse and keyboard if its uncomfortable. The downside is that there quite expensive at this point of time.

I didn't say dell was good. I hate dell just as much as acer. There both really bad that just want to take some of the cash in the pc market. Custom built is always best however its abit hard to custom build a laptop. Thats why you go to big companies such as alienware and asus.
