  • Open G tuning is full of all sorts of blues licks; it is a great tuning to learn the blues.

  • @watchdogprogressive

Absolutely correct, but for the sake of anyone trying to figure this out, it's more accurately an open G7 tuning that I'm in here. What would be a low D in Open G is tuned up to an F here.

Music and tab are available for sale at my website

    Best,

    sb

  • @BrokenPlectrumRed

Glad you like it! Tuning is a modified open G. Normal open G would be DGDGBD - I took the low D up to F - so FGDGBD - or technically an open G7

  • @sbharpguitar

Same tuning for C is for Chloe?

  • He doesn't just play the blues, he makes it his own and stores it in his soul. When he drinks or smokes, it comes out his fingers in an amazing live performence :D would pay a lot to be thaught by him :)

  • Saw Stephen at concert in a little church in Onancock, VA. a week ago....great 1.5 hrs. of beautiful music....ranging from his own compositions to Glenn Miller and everything in between. Been listening to his CDs nonstop ever since....gotta admit, he's been put on this earth to share his talent and love for the guitar...Thanks Stephen for your gifts to us all.....
