Wow I thought dark schneider was being the dick all this time by destroying civilizations and taking all the women in it, but giving Gaara a handshake and his sword/right arm back after showing him true power at the end of the fight changed that for me. Why is that?

I think we can probably refer these past two episodes as the 'fan service story arch'.

Also, has anyone else noted the key elements and where they get there names from?

Examples include the head knight Bonjovia, the kingdom Metallicana, DS's final spell MegaDeath. (if you don't get it after that last one, your dim).
