Dude i have to say 2 things on Skating games.

1.Tony hawk isn't as good anymore since EA made skate1,2,3.BUT i do have to say tony hawk was a fun game when i was younger.

2.EA made Skate1,2,3,AND compared to tony hawk its WAYY better but i think tony hawk is made for unrealistic gameplay and Skate is made for Realistic gameplay.

yeah, the missions are timed, but there's like 8 or 9 missions per level. on the old thps games they had like a bunch of different challenges to do during a two minute period or whatever and after about doing it twice or so you progrees to the next level.

In that case, despite its shitty camera and controls, Resident Evil 1 is better than Resident Evil 2, just because it came out earlier. Mega Man 1 is better than Mega Man 2, despite 1 has a shitty point system and less inspired boss weapons. Sonic R is better than Sonic Adventure, despite Sonic R has atrocious level design, controls, and soundtrack.
