Yes, strangely enough, still almost everyone knows what a typewriter is while "Atari Computers" have been almost completely forgotten. Indeed, most children will hardly know what "Atari" even refers to. I mean, I'm 18 and all I know about Atari is something related to arcade games, but other than that? Nothing about "Atari Computers".
If you look closely, you can see pac-man slowly eating the words she typed. It was a nice attempt from Atari to broaden it's appeal but they really should have retained focus on gaming. It would have been great to see if Atari could've created a newer console that was competitive with the first generation NES.
More proof of Tv brainwashing and a subliminal messages. One thing is for certian, and that is no one is created equal. Some are faster, some are slower, some are stronger, some are weaker, some are smarter, some are dumber, some are tall others short, some are hairy while others bald and the list can go on forever.
Um listen, you're little constant talking about how much you hate M*A*S*H and Hawkeye and Alan Alda is really gettin' kinda old... do you think could very much please stop please?
What's equal? Alan Alda on the other hand will be as hot for as long as we have sound and vision storage. The lucky ones are those who were priveleged enough to get up close and personal. If you know what Alan Alda feels like to touch, taste and smell, please post here for the benefit of future generations who are similarlty enclined (and reclined in raptuous ecstasy from the mere prospect as it may be,lest You Tube also becomes obselete(!)...perish the thought! Great vid Captain Justice. *sigh*
@Hotshotter3000 Actually, typewriters tried one last stand in the '80s through electronic typewriters, and were even advertised as late as 1990 or so. But the typewriter-computer transition was in full swing at this point.
Oh, GOSH!!! Alan Alda, you're an inspiration, but MAN! That was-- ...Why must we be so politically correct? T_T Now we're changing the Declaration of Independence. XD
I love it too, very much, but the printer in the ad is not atari's dot matrix printer! It is the Atari 1027 "daisy wheel" printer (in fact it was not daisy wheel, but another way of fixed character system) Atari rulezzz indeed!

Alan Alda was/is a male feminist so this ad is right up his alley. The E.R.A. didn't past but he gets to do rewrite the Declaration of Independence

To be fair, much as this has been mocked, Alan Alda was 100% correct.

That's your opinion. I liked the early slapstick and hijinks of the 1972-75 years and I like the deeper years toward the end.

MASH was better before Alan Alda got behind the camera and got all preachy. I'm just saying........

His hair is quite gray hair here. This was just one year after M*A*S*H ended. He must have been coloring his hair toward the end of the series.

I thought that typewriters were already gone by 1984. Then again, maybe word processors on computers weren't totally dominant yet.
