I grew up in a poor, single-mother house hold with a mother who wanted to write and wrote all the time but never really made it- she eventually found her soul mate and is now engaged. You are what my mother would be if she'd made it big- and that inspires me more than you will ever know. It was your book, JKR, that, at age 11, made me want to be-

I didn't like reading as a child, and when I was 28 I lost my vision due to a rare auto-immune disease and I was unable to work. So I started reading and I started with John Grisham because that was my grandmothers favorite. Then one day I decided to go to the library and get the Harry Potter book 1, I am now reading the series for the 4th time and it doesn't get old! They are the best books I have read and I thank her for writing them and making them so believable and wonderful.

It's amazing to think about the legacy she has created and the amazing impact that it has had. And not just emotionally, but academically too. Her books have inspired creativity and increased reading levels among children. I know I never would have increased my vocabulary as much as I did as a kid if it wasn't for those books.
