I wastching this documentary on the final fantasy series on ign i think but anyways while the producer who was making the game his mother had died that event really had an impact on the story and the various themes and the overall theme of the game life. if you got about a good 2 hours or so you should check it out

I noe its kinda out of topic, but:

the main cause of everyone's death is GENESIS tat Loveless idiot.

He caused ANgeal's death, he influenced Sephiroth to study on Jenova, making seph mad.

Eventually cloud stops sephiroth, and hojo discovered those 2 having more potential than seph. resulting in a lockup at the lab. the escape results in Zack's death. Later on Aerith's death was from Sephiroth. Which was so unpleasantly influenced by Genesis.

I hate the fact that they call her Aerith now. They started calling her Aerith after Kingdom Hearts. Aerith is the japanese verison. The english verison is Aeris.

Aeris is this beautiful character, and someone saying Aerith makes it sound stupid as if they have a lisp or something. If I remember correctly; in Japanese the TH is sounded as an S that's why in Japanese Aerith is pronounced Earisu. The S sound is still there but for some reason we say Aerith now. Ew..

Well the difference in voices seems purposeful in my opinion. This one seems the brightest because she is young. Mandy's in advent children may seem 'monotone' but she's endured hardships and isn't quite "alive" anymore lol. Just her soul in the lifestream.

Well, Advent Children took place two years after Final Fantasy VII, which took place 7 years after Crisis Core, so the characters are alot younger, thus they have younger voices.

Because the English localisation in the original game was poorly done. In Japanese her name was "erisu" which is the closest you can get to the sound of Aerith in Japanese. Therefore, the translators took "erisu" to be Aeris, when she was originally meant to be called Aerith.

Well, it has always been Aerith. it was just when the translation was done for the original they changed it to Aeris. as that the japanese language does not have a th sound they converted the th to an s so that it would be closer to the original pronunciation in Japan. later translations they left it as the original so now people pronounce it Aerith here in the US. hope that helps a little.

Thank god. May Mena Suvari never voice another character again. And for those who are wondering, Aerith is now the official translation (not Aeris) and any FF7 media from now on will continue to refer to her as Aerith (including a remake). Aeris was a mistranslation, the FF localisation wasn't really decent until FF8 (which people may notice is when they started to name spells properly. If FF7 gets a remake, expect the Fire materia to teach Fire, Fira and Firaga, etc. not Fire, Fire2 amd Fire3.)

well her voice was done by mandy moore in KH1 - but then replaced with Mena Suvari in the later incarnations of her. she sounds a lot better in AC possibly due to the softening of her voice - i don't know.
