The white guy refused to carry on so disqualified himself. Even his manager tried to get him back in the ring. Ref had no choice. If he had concentrated on stopping the fight and the woman stabbed the white guy that would have been the ref's fault too. He protected the fighter which is a referees main job.
@OldMetalEAD and another thing, watch how many punches are connecting and then decide if the fight really needs to be stopped. Just watched again and the ref is right not to stop it. Most of the punches are nowhere near landing and the black lad would have been furious if he had lost on a stoppage at that point....I know I would if I had been evading nearly everything being thrown at me.
That was an AWFUL decision by the referee in the first match. The guy had his opponent on the ropes when his mother interfered, that's an automatic DQ right there. Even though the boxer wasn't hurt by the would be assault, the match should have been over because it gave his opponent time to recuperate giving him an unfair advantage. We've all seen bad officiating, but that is perhaps the most atrocious in any bout in any combat sport I've ever seen.
