@MrKSKSKS: You can, but it's not really designed for it. However, if you'd combine it with some Midi-Effects, it might become a useful melodic Step Seq.
@ZWDimmick: Not in the current version, but I'm planning to make the normal- and accent-velocity adjustable in v2. However, I will not implement adjustable velocities for each step, since this cannot be displayed on the APC.
@Riezz73 If it's a question for other users (i.e. something along the lines of tips and tricks), then you'll find the best results at Answers, Ableton's new platform for users to share knowledge with other users, at ableton[dot]com/support

@PapaKumaMusic: Yes, you can play a beat in. Just activate the record button and play on the Clip Stop Buttons = Sound Selection Buttons ( The beat will be quantized to 16th)
AbletonInc deleted my comment about native kontrol haha This Max for Live is awesome but I do have to give praise, to that one other creation out the that people can find on youtube. I wont give you a link cuz they probably will delete this comment too! ha Cheers to Mark Egloff
@AbletonInc Thought it felt funny. You guys are always good about stuff like this. May I ask why not have more options like the native kontrol in max for live? I mean, Yes. There is a lot of action in max for live but there is so much that max doesnt touch in Native Kontrol. And that was more than 6 months ago
@dmoates420: It does as you say: the APC-Step-Seq turns itself automatically off, if you select another track, i.e you can use several Step-Seqs on different tracks.
There are a lot of other features not mentioned in the video, such as: Setting Accents, Quantized recording, Change loop length & Autocomplete (=if you double the loop length the first part gets automatically copied into the second half), Undo/Redo, Delete 1 or all sounds, Shifting, etc.
When u choose another track does the apc go back to normal mode, then when u reselect does it go back to sequencer mode? Seems like that's how it would work which would be awesome. I wish they would have went into detail about that. Also can u have 2 or 3 of them on different tracks and use them all separately?
@TubeKritiker thanks for the info. im just getting back into live and im kinda behind on what it offers recently. btw i do not do tutorials although i could i just dont know live that well. But i will.
stray has had this feature for korg Pad for like 2 years now lol..
but anyway good job..dude looks like he's 15 years old..

Is there a way to adjust the velocity other than the accent function with the APC controller?
