the game and the song is brilliant, i have all the metal gear solid games and number 3 is the best one yet, metal gear solid 4 will be the best game of the year, i'm sure of it xD! i dont think snake kills himself in mgs4, i think that when he see's solid snake he will work with him to fight for a greater good, but i am a bit of a metal gear solid boffin :D

Snake is toooo old in mgs4 (and he is not the whiteheared man you see in mgs4 trailer) the one you see in mgs4 is Solid snake becoming old because of the genetic modification or the foxdie. cuz you see him take the shot in the neck ! the old Snake isn't infected with the foxdie.

That is Solid (David)Snake, he is like Alec said old because he's a clone and his basic cellular info is that of a 40+ year old man, so he has a short life span. (so did Dolly the cloned sheep by the way) and because of the FOXDIE virus he's infected with, he's dying by leaps and bounds. I too have heard that Snake's story ends in MGS4. If you want to think of it chronologically it goes, MGS 3, Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, MGS, MGS2:SOL, MGS4:GOTP.
