  • they did a bloody good job controling it.leave it to the britts!!! bravo

  • the last time i heard the words "make pumps. 20" it was when i went for a days trial at dunlop shoes. in front of me were a pile of cloth and rubber fitments and 40 laces. you had to complete 20 pairs of pumps in 4 hours to get the job. now i did get the job, but my friend didnt. he only made about 15 pumps. later he went to work at his dads garage and learned to do MOTs. hes doing ok. he bought a house in 2003 and now its worth triple. he is thinking of selling and going to australia though.

  • i remember this mill fire. it was caused by a DVD player that had overheated.

  • In 1976? How far ahead was technology in Yorkshire!!?!?

  • @ianupton a dvd IN 1976?? - THEY WEREN'T HEARD OF THEN!

  • Nice filming, nice editing just a tad to loud on the music maybe sound from the fire & Crews in the background with the music over lapping. But still good well done ;o)

  • In Brunei a 20 pump shop house fire had been occurred somewhere in the 1970s. But at that time Brunei only own 10+ fire appliance. Also at that time several staff are undergoing snorkel familiarization course in HK. I wonder if Brunei had owned the Simon Snorkel at that time.

  • well done im a fire fighter and we had a make pumps 25 bartoline chemicals

  • excellent timeline music too. suits it well for the age of the footage.

  • A real nice video. Well done!!

  • Brilliant, captures the moment and a great video tribute to those fighting fires in the 70's.
