Actually you can compare them because most of the licks and solos Randy has ever played originated from blues. In my opinion Randy is the greatest guitarist ever. Although, Jimmi did learn guitar upside down and taught himself. Randy stopped taking lessons after his teacher realized that Randy knew more than he did. True badass and will be greatly missed. RIP Randy and Jimmi

jimi hendrix was a great guitar player no doubt about it. but when randy rhoads walked onto the music screen everything in music changed, i had seen randy and ozzy in tenn, the night before he died and he was amazin , he is and always will be the master of a guitar, case closed.. no one will ever take his place. he not only could play great rock guitar but he will classical guitar player as well as a teacher, the man was a musical genius as far as im concered, do your homework people he was god

I I agree, he is mostly metal, but when it comes down to raw skill and technique Hendrix is the best without a doubt, even ritchie blackmore is far more of a virtuoso than Rhoads. Problem is neither Hendrix and Rhoads got to really show off, as their lives have been cut short.
