  • WHY THE FUCK WAS I 12 BACK THEN? ><

  • i drive a black car......

  • de facto, a melhor canção deles!!!!!!!!

  • Waaaa

  • Comment removed

  • THX who each ever does it .The Cure Best Band of the world untill now...for me.

  • why can't you find any original videos? every cure video i find is live. not that that's a problem ... they sound just as bad ass!!!

  • Well, if Joy Division was not gothic rock, but some of his songs had an influence on the Dark Wave.

  • @xvVIPERMANxv Robert Smith even said "it's pity that "goth" is still tag on The Cure. We never were a goth band. We started out as a post-punk band. Then we did something different. We just play Cure music. Whatever that is." So bands in the '80s were never goth. They were either post-punk, postive punk, glam rock, dark punk, new wave.

  • @joey4245 Well. So things really are, you see. what they are: The Cure Bauhaus Siouxsie And The Banshees Joy Division Mainly, were part of the original ideas in the dark and Gothic Wave. Therefore, do not go to want to consider to Evanescence as gothic music.

  • Un pedazito de Trilogy. Una pieza de un hermoso disco "Pornography". El disco que cambio el curso del goth para siempre.

  • Esta es LA cancion!

  • @vvVIPERMANxv they weren't part of the goth movement nor ever play at the batcave

  • @joey4245 You do not have to play at the Batcave to be considered "Goth" -_- And yes they were part of the Goth movement due to the large amount of Goths that did indeed follow them. And most of the older Goth bands do not even consider them selves as such anyways.

  • @joey4245 I understand. Although I believe that the current gothic subculture corrupts the original ideas to justify countless disputes. But everyone.

  • The Cure never was a gothic rock band

  • @joey4245 and because according to you?

  • @joey4245 this is Goth before Goth became silly emo boys playing at being depressed.....

  • Smith's voice is still the same after all these years !

  • Can't believe these guys have been making music for 30+ years. I remember listening to Disintegration driving to my high school graduation. I'm so old...

  • Creeping up the stairs in the dark...waiting for the death blow

  • песня офигенная

  • Nicely Done...

  • grande robert...ojala vengan a chile...los esperamos....GRANDE THE CURE!!!!

  • great concert

  • Just like the old days!! Fuzzed guitars, psychedelic music fits by good riffs!

Like Nick Cave in David Lynch's film. Don't remember the title, it was the part in a bar during Twin Peaks, i think.

Pornography still one of my favorite album of all time...

  • 'just like the old days......'

  • As for the lyrics : 'Please love me , meet my mother' caves my skull in every time ><

  • I like 10.15 saturday night, kiss me, and the self titled as a trilogy as well

captures the more alt side and I think is a perfect embodiment of that side of them while this one gets their darker stuff

  • This song's one of my favorites, it's got what every GREAT band wishes to acchieve and what every great song wants to sound like; in other words " A Mind and feeling of its own", you listen to it and it takes you somewhere, it presents itslef to you like a living thing, join it -understand and live or ... well fuck off! yeap. ];)

  • This song is magnificent!! There are no words to express the greatness of this song!! It is just so fantastic of a song!! The Cure are truly amazing and so very awesome for sure!! Robert is so brilliant!! Always loved them, always will!! The Cure forever and always!! :) ♥

  • This song is just pure perfection!! I so love the haunting and mesmerizing feel of this song!! Just gets right to the heart of you!! The Cure are just a truly phenomenal band of all time!! It just doesnt get any better than The Cure!! They are pure brilliance!! The Cure forever my friends!! ♥♥

  • @darkforest121 I totally agree with you about this song. The Cure is superb and there is no band like them . Your comment here really speaks the truth of the passion this song puts out. I love The Cure! <3

  • @SnowInSummer34 Thank you so much for your very kind comment my friend. Yes, I have loved The Cure for nearly 30 years and indeed there is no band like them and truly no one can touch them. The Cure is the definition of passion. They have been the soundtrack of my life. The Cure forever my friend!! ☺♥xoxox

  • They are the most endeared and love bands in the world hands down !!! I love this band why, because they connect with every emotion of the soul musically, no other band compares! No matter what mood you are in or feeling, you can always run to their music to get your fix & cure !!! Robert Smith & The Cure is music genius !!!

  • esse som é muito f.......... mermo

  • o som é muito f........

  • classic cure lyrics

''doesn't matter if we all die ''

    thats badass

  • TO @UnDead3180;

Well HELL YEAH!!! The cure is all about no caring about shit... not even Dead, specially not dead. Robert is almost a pure example of that, what other singer performs as he does, almost if he couldn't care less, and yet is so fucking great and unique. Pure art man.

  • Man why don't band like these come about more often..A M A Z I N....

  • warsaw

  • NO IMPORTA SI TODOS MORIMOS!!!!!!! I Love PORNOGRAPHY

  • One of their best songs, and excellent quality here!!! Rejoice!

  • Awesome song and great quality! One of their best!

  • we call it "blokvervuiling"

  • The Dark Trilogy consists of Pornography (1982), Disintegration (1989), and Bloodflowers (2000). Three great fuckin albums with a few dark songs in between them like Charolette Sometimes.. Apart.. etc etc.

  • @electroconfusion

    dude it is 2002

  • It doesn't matter if we all die!

  • i`ve been there. berlin 2001 tempodrom....

  • @gilmour1968

darkwave is more electronic and industrial

darkwave is band like Die Form, Laibach, Kirlian Camera, Skinny Puppy, Clan Of Xymox, Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins

post punk is depressive musicwith dark texts like joy division and cure

so the different s are vig

  • godo.....

  • i like all of it

  • It`s not Post Punk, it is a mix Gothik Rock and Dark Wave!!

The Band "Killing Joke" plays Post Punk, Industrial Rock!!

  • @gilmour1968 uh, pardon me good sir but darkwave is a mix of post punk and new wave thus; every darkwave artist is post punk. if you must categorize that is, it seems you must. then you should at least find out what you're talking about and not make shit up. ps. killing joke is widely recognized as darkwave.

  • @ Yurko 1993: Please tell me the different from Post Punk and Dark Wave!!

  • This song so trippy.

Seen them live AND THEY ROCK

  • One of my favourite...

  • 2011 : 35 imaginary years with THE CURE

  • I love Bloodflowers but I think the trilogy should be Faith, Pornography and Disintegration. The first 2 are very dark and cold, Disintegration... its just perfection

  • @HandCannon32 Disintegration fits perfectly. It's like a manic depressant. Happy to sad as hell. How can you go wrong? ;) (By the way... Faith is an awesome album).

  • They may not be a darkwave band, but the guitar sound on this album paved the way for acts like Lycia. Esp. this song.

  • it is not dark wave it is post punk

  • it is not either, it did however pave the way for __________ music...

  • @Yurko1993 gothic rock

  • It doesn't matter if we all die

Ambition in the back of a black car..

Pornography is the best dark-wave album ever..between Closer..

  • hey guys was Pornography thier best album. like if u were to only buy one cure record would it b it?

  • I would say its my 2nd favorite or third. My favorite is Disintegration by far, then 3 Imaginary Boys then Pornography. You can't go wrong with either though.

  • hey thanx for the reply ill prob go out and but pornography cuz i hear its their most goth darkest sounding record, but i will also check out the others, thanx again man!

  • Why be so coy?

Just get all of them, YOU decide.

  • i know i would

  • Im partial to Head On The Door, just because it was new when I first discovered them. All their stuff prior was great too.

  • Comment removed

  • Look who's on 3.36 It's Me :)

    Best concert ever!

    the played almost 4 hours.

    A party to remember :)

  • @martijngeerts- Lucky you!

  • the cure, are the magnifies bands from uk..

  • I agree with amnesiac. Pornography was brilliant. Japenese Whispers, 17 seconds, and the singles B-sides too. All Brilliant. Then as time went on, they still pumped out GREAT music. But their early days were IT......... I will always remain A Cure fan...... I must find these trilogy's and consume..........

  • this is great! but WHEN & WHERE was it??? best greetings from berlin, tom

  • @TomDeToys this was in 2003 in Berlin

    :)

  • la mejor banda de la historia , son mi vida

  • Definitely the best today. Would have loved to see Joy Divison give them a run for their money if Ian hadn't died.

  • BEST BAND EVER

  • I agree,Faith,Pornography,Disintegration...Bloodflowers has no place in Trilogy.

  • It doesn't matter if we all die

  • The Cure with Depeche Mode are the best leaders of dark electro music, i can listen to them again and again.

I love this song, it's really deep and the bassist is really good.

  • Are you saying Cure is an electro band? They have keyboards backing up an otherwise standard rock band setting while Depeche mode is synth-based rock, I see a difference.

  • @AlmigthyIsDead ya i totally agree. Both are great British bands with equally different traits. I saw Depeche Mode live last Summer, and would love to see The Cure !

  • @GothikSakura

I agree about these 2 bands. Both brilliant. I've loved them since my teens & I'm rediscovering them again all these years later, so many memories in this music for me.

  • @GothikSakura The cure Electro music? Goth rock or Post punk would suit, even some new wave. ... But well, im a real cure fan as well and nothing else matters hahahaahaha

  • @GothikSakura both of those bands are more dark post new wave than electro, electro is stuff like ladytron.

  • @GothikSakura Depeche Mode... dark music? :)

  • @GothikSakura What Depeche Mode Dark Elctro hahahahhhahaa And Cure Men Not Play Dark electro hahahahahhaahahaahahahahaa Is Fucking Underground Gothik Band And Play First Of All Punk And Deep Dark Gothik !!!!!!!!!

  • @AspidaR

Welcome to planet Earth. Everyone is, these days.

  • @SeanDeigh13 i dont think men Cure is always gothik undeground ...!!!!1

  • I like their "dark trilogy", 17 seconds, faith and pornography. Pornography is brilliant, a perfect album.

  • @Amnesiac1986 I agree that those records are also awesome, but the set of albums considered to be the "dark trilogy" goes Pornography, Disintegration, Bloodflowers. Just to clarify.

  • @Amnesiac1986 I've prefered their later dark stuff, like Disintegration. :P

  • @Amnesiac1986 For me Pornography, Disintegration, The cure (2004)

  • wow holy shit that was amazing!!!!!!!

    just.wow.

    robert is a good chap

  • Mi favorita también...

  • I agree just in 2 Albums, The Trilogy should have been this: Pornography, Disintegration and Wish, the last one for me is the Best Album ever made by The Cure, Wish is out of this World, beyond Universe, although Bloodflowers is a great Album but just that.

Anyway, The Trilogy is one of the Best concerts Ever made in the Music History, i've been 3 times in a Concert of The Cure and i don't see the time to see them again.

My Fav Band by Far, nothing Compares to The Cure!!!!!

  • One hundred years is my favourite, the climax (as you say in english ?) of their concerts, when Robert keeps repeating one hundred years, that is crazy ...

  • faith, pornography, disintegration

disintegration was really the epic end of that chapter

bloodflowers has no place in the trilogy, in my opinion, it was just robert trying to be angsty and grab back his emotions

  • Best Cure record...The Top!

  • Every time I listen to the Cure I feel sadness and despair, just like I did when I was a teen. I wish I could just die.

  • Stop being so melodramatic weirdo!! You can die anytime you decide to, but the point is, why would you want to? Its nice to experience all the feelings - good and bad- and bands like the Cure help you acheive those feelings.

  • I agree...

I also feel this when I listen to Cocteau Twins...

  • Disengration is the cure's dark side of the moon,

  • the real trilogy : Faith , disintegration and bloodflowers

  • I agree, Pornography doesn't feel the same as Disintegration and Bloodflowers, it's more anger than hopelessness. I think Faith embodies the same Cure as Disintegration and Bloodflowers alot better

  • I agree. Disintergration and Bloodflowers are their two best albums. Never really liked the Cure's lighter songs like Lovecats, Friday I'm in Love, and Lullaby.

  • Happy Birthday Simon!!!!!!

the cure is still awesome after all these years

  • simon gallup is awesome!

  • esto es lo mejor de lo mejor!

  • perry kick ass!!!!

  • great song, also depressing, well some people think so, I just love the cure

  • I own Seventeen Seconds, Faith, and Pornography, and since tuesday Disintegration.

What would you say to Disintegration? Do you think it's a good album and do you think it belongs to their first dark phase (1980-1982) I mean 7 years and alot of poppier songs inbetween...

Anyways, I love the Pornography album at first I just liked One Hundred Years, Hanging Garden and Strange Day. Now I love the whole album as I like the thing that it is really unique.

100 Years is one of their bests!

  • I love that album, but it is a very different feel.

Depending on my mood, i either prefer Pornography or Disintegration.

Simon and Robert shine on those two albums, not to mention Faith, the voice and the bass is what makes The Cure's sound at least in my humble opinion.

  • maybe it doesn't exactly belong to that certain phase but it is an amazing and very dark album!!! my favorite actually, but everybody has to decide that for themselves...

  • Disintegration is hands-down my favorite album of all-time. It has some depressing songs but not in the same way as Pornography and Faith. Disintegration has some joy in it, like in "Pictures of You". Although the song is sad, it's sad because of the sweet memories painted in the song. But Pornography, god damn that album is heavy. There are no happy moments at all, which is why I love it. And "Faith" -- that may the most depressing song I've ever heard.

  • Yeah exactely.

I just love Pornography due to its bleakness, due to its anger and self-destructive mood. This song here is a masterpiece as the whole album is. It was their most intense phase I think..

Faith is just.. kinda religious and really deep sinking depression but in a different way as it is in Pornography.. Faith is so quiet and hopeless all the songs really match eachother and give you that cold grey feeling.. Holy Hour, All Cats Are Grey, Funeral Song and Faith especially

  • Hey man

For me, Disintegration is the greatest album ever made, followed only by kate Bush's Hounds of Love. Pornography, while good, seems far too forced in its supposed misery.

  • in a high building there is so much to do.....

  • I'm Christian and The Cure lyrics are perfect. Smith show his feelings, his approach to faith. ,,Promise of salvation make's my stay'', ''Nothing but faith'' - perfect words.

  • Maybe you should listen to the cure's faith album.

  • the cure, sounds great.

  • Fuck God, The Cure is my religion.

  • the Cure is divine and okay as religion because of that. Pornography was the best album of them followed by Faith. This album has zero nothing to do with ponography. Ponography is boring the Cure not^^°°

  • fuck yeah. meet my mother, the fear takes hold!

  • the cure fulfills my music thirst

  • pornography great

  • Deeply gothic, remember listening to this soooo much when i was 15 geez. a long time ago but timeless. Disintegration is awesome and Robert smith wrote the song on his 30th birthday i hear

  • Never liked The Cure, but this song is just wonderful!

  • yes, it is a great song no doubt. if you like it pick up their album Pornography, this is track 1 off it....

  • disintergration terrible?

    what are you talking about?

its one of the classic albums of all artists.

    its timeless.

    fuck off

  • @unionjackthelad You have probably not listen to Pornography. Disintegration is very weak and commercial, compared to Porno... So take it easy.

  • @snupcho yes, you are right

  • I was watching this Trilogy and belive it or not, The Hanging Garden video is censored in Thailand. I don't know what it contains, but the Government had judged us unfit to see it.

  • How can that be?!

  • It either contains something that offends Buddhism, the King or his Royal Family (unlikely), or something sexual.

I watched the video recently and it has Greek-like statues of nude/semi-nude women.

There is also a brief glimpse of what could be "hanging" (as in noose) cure members toward the end, although I doubt that's a reason since on Thai TV they show everyday genuine graphic death scenes on the news.

  • fuck thailand.

  • probably because they have some sort of hanging gardens over there

  • One of my favourite Cure songs. Amazing.

  • i wish i was in that crowd

  • me too i wish i could time travel!!!!

  • This song, like it's creators, is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

  • The DVD is awesome, and this song is a favorite :D

  • the drumming on this is so much better than older versions

  • I had the opportunity to see them live and I was amazed at how clear and tight they are.... excellent live musicians.

  • You haven't lived 'til you've seen this live. I saw them this June and they had all sorts of really gripping images on the screens behind them, war-crimes, hangings, really wretched, awful things. It made you equal parts disgusted and motivated. Coupled with that and the images shown during "Killing an Arab/Other," and "Fire In Cairo," you could imagine they had some things to say to those of us in America about the damnable war. Brutal brutal stuff, but beautiful for sure in it's honesty.

  • Just this June! luck you . I saw them a few years back and have to agree, they are fantastic live.

  • Lol, I did feel rather lucky, but I was a bit sad after it ended; not because it was a bad show but because it was so loud and so long that I had a massive headache halfway through and couldn't enjoy the songs I came to hear (since they opened up with new material I didn't know yet). They really know how to rig their sound for a big place though; I was just way too close to it all lol.

  • che dire... se non che la cura mi ha curato...per cento anni di vita e di musica cureiana!!!curami curati curaci

  • Sicuro!

  • please

    one more hundred years

    playing this song

    love you cure

  • its been a hundred years playing this

  • "And pray for something better, and pray for something better."

  • some body know what's the bass marc the of Simon?

  • rickenbacker

  • yes, but i don't know what model is it...

    anyway, it's not a 4000series!

  • just GREAT!

  • This song live totally blows the studio version away. SO GOOD!

  • I wish i was there.

    ...damn.

  • innit. I kick myself for every concert I miss, so I try to not think about ones like this

  • Porque sera que robert smith siempre entona diferente sus canciones en vivo?

  • Porque sabe variar!

  • porque no quiere que el publico cante junto con el , es un maldito arrogante!

  • he's not an arrogant person and if he doesnt want the public to sing is beacuse he wants to feel his music for a while not just for what you said.

I've seen 3 times THE CURE IN CONCERT and oh my gosh they are such a great talented musicians, i hope to see'em again, it will be my 4th time in a Row.

THE CURE IS A CURE FOR MY SICKNESS.

The last time i saw them in concert was in may 14 at Centre Bell in Montreal, i remember that fucking nite, they played for about 3 hrs.

    Robert is Amazing!

  • ke komentario mas aweonao el tuyo.

    imbecil de mierda

  • otro komentario idiota =) porke no te suicidas ?

  • WOW, what a blast from the past.
