Is there a way to show the dimension that I created from the model? And the View Render Style Parallel for sketcher, is there a setup so everytime I start a part its always parallel to screen. By the way I like your video, very easy to follow. Been Pro/E user for 20 years this is a lot different than Pro/E...
I understand it is feasible, but what i mean it's if it is a good practice. I heard not.
I used to do that and when having many parts (using some to build others) when i want to edit i think there were problems with the external references.
Also, sometimes (i don't know why) it's not possible to click in a part out of the sketch
The better practice is to pre-select the face then click the sketch icon. this way you avoid clicking the wrong planar reference, which makes it hard to change later.
If you experience issues with External references, make sure that you have "keep link with selected objects" checked in the Tools>Options. basically your geometry has be be yellow when projected (not white). if all that is good and it's still problematic, there is a bug and you need to update to the latest service pack
u dont even know how to put the main axes...cmon...its to low lvl...u ever hear about geometry...publication...and others tips how can help u to creat many things only with one single sketch...without painting him every time u create a new part...
"how to put the main axes?" what do you even mean? "...hear about geometry" the whole video was about geometry!! and published elements is a topic part of advanced assemblies. the intention of the video was to do basic and simple methods to accomplishing a functioning model. creating things based on a single sketch is a skeleton modeling method, also an advance topic. this was recorded in a fundamentals class. so I can only show what I taught. next time ask why before ranting away.
Please how can I get this video tutorial, let me know so that I make arrangement to send you the cost, I am new to PDMS and I am sure this video tutorial will really help me. Thanks,

how to remove the grids from the sketcher ?
SuperHisham100 2 months ago
@SuperHisham100
Click the Grid icon from the Sketch Tools toolbar. which is very important toolbar within sketch mode. it should always be displayed.
It also can be disabled in the Tool>options menu>Mechanical Design>sketcher

"Can" you just click on a face of an assembly part to create a sketch??
davidgruty 1 year ago
@davidgruty
yes as long is you are in Part design mode, you can click the face first then the sketch icon or Vice versa

Nice tutorial.
The voice is a little hard to understand sometimes and the video quality could be a little better, but it still provides a very good starting point.
Congratulations...
