If you are among elite, then in the 2nd REP you can join the Groupement des commandos parachutistes (Commando Parachute Group) or in the 2nd REG you can join the Groupement de commandos de montagne (Commando Mountain Group). They are commandos and they may work with the French Special Forces in some occasions, but they are not Special Forces themselves.

A man that makes it in the SAS is same type of man that goes through BUDS, just different accent.
