@ditogam Yes, Neil is one of the last really magnificent tenors in my opinion. He has such a beautiful voice and you got the feeling he just slapped the high tones out, he always sound so effortless. He delivers at all times. At the moment I have the same feeling with Michael Spyres.

With Neil you have a tenor who has warmth but is never sloppy, he has the ability to put across emotion with power in the house and intelligent singing, he can diminuendo sing piano, cadenza when needed and has even tone from bottom to the very top,in his prime one of the greatest lyric spinto tenors of all who could also act very well on stage. I heard him many times in the states. He was unique I thought like all the great ones.

This is a great rendition of the aria and I remember very well in the late 70's he sang this opera complete on English TV Brdcst in the states and it was just wonderful and he was Barely 30 years old, it may have been his first time on Television singing and here he is in prime voice singing beautifully from a fine complete recording.
