to fix the pipe just fill it whit water ,be careful to not late air bubbles,(you have to close very tight the cilinders and silencers holes)and put it in the freezer for some hours,it works garanteed! uou dont need to cut and weld and the final results is better,i hope you understand my bad english...:-)

i think you did more work than was needed. I got similar results from just two passes with 800 and 1000 grit paper and twice polished. Still, nice results! too bad its just gonna get ruined in the dirt :P

hey sweet job on your bike..... just a quick question. i race GNCC and Harescrambles with my bike and it tends to scratch plastics and stuff up a good bit. When you do this to your frame does it show alot of the scratches and stuff from woods riding?

@kriegdouch tubular is more on trail bikes ones that really are not meant to be jumped just basic riding. box style tubing is for high end motor sports its able to take alot more abuse without bending or breaking. I have a 99 honda cr125 I do freestyle moto so Im used to doing huge jumps trick and land my brother and friends ride quads and are sponsored riders the quad frames have box and tube style frames well from jumping they crack the tubes and the welds

i have the same bike and i gotta warn you, i have been told by several people, and witnessed it. On the plastics that touch the frame on the front of your frame where you see those wear marks, yeah if those get pretty bad i have actually seen someones 98 cr125 snap there and break in two and it was gnarly, so make sure those dont get too bad! cheers

What I always thought about doing with my bike, is grinding and polishing out the welds to be flush with the rest of the frame. Doesn't make sense to polish the frame without doing that too, unless there's a reason not to.

@Emiley415 i just wanted something to make my bike stand out at the track and trust me this is the way to get ATON of comments on how clean your bike is i used to sit there and try to scrub the boot stains/wear marks in the frame now they wipe off and i actually think it did help out the performance i lost a 1 lbs and mud and water dont like to stick to the frame it beads off because it is so glassy smooth.

but i also changed some bolts out and now my bike weighs 187lbs dry thats light!

blue magic aluminum polish, you can get it at Canadian tire and it comes in a little tub with a #1 on the top of it, it's amazing!!!!!!!!!! best polish in the world, it makes aluminum look better than chrome!
