  • i was thinking about making a sanguinius and i found this so im going to get ideas from yours. If you approve. :)

  • Your Sanguinius is not as pretty as he should be...

  • I really liked the color and finish on the armor. The only thing is is that it lacks some depth and it looks a bit flat in pictures. On camrea it looked pretty good, but that is the only minor detail i noticed after trying to find something wrong. This is brilliant.

  • I personally find the sculpt terrible... they could of done so much better.

  • great model mate and infact i have one my self but its not painte. once it is ill put a video on

  • Where is the spear of telesto?

  • Where can I pick one of these up? And do they make all of the primarchs?

  • I have never been the biggest fan of Scibor. I just think that some of the mini poses don't quite come off. He has done some good sculpts though. If It were me I think I would have gone for the more traditional non-metallic. You went for a look and I think you succeeded in that. The gold really does look like gold leaf to me so I think that is a triumph. An interesting use of the non met technique with metal colours. The green breaks it up nicely. He aint gonna fit in a Land raider though. ;)

  • Hi. Cracking Figure great paint job.

  • hmm... what would i have done differently??? OH I KNOW!!! i wouldve stuffed up XD good work simply amazing!

  • any tips on building him cause ive just orderd mine

  • @daleksecrock Where do you order him from

  • @Matt0verl0rd got him from ebay

  • THUNDERCATS on his chest?

  • @Davejimjr eye of terra..

  • wait a minute, isn't that a Archangel from Maelstrom games?

  • Fantastic!

  • Very cool bud!

  • @TubeBkg thank bud

  • I don't think this is your best work. I'm sorry the Gold looks terrible and the red of the cloth doesn't even look it has been shaded. Sorry to be so negative. Perhaps it looks better in person.

  • @angusmcnicholl i can asure you the red cloth has really good shadows and highlights its just they blend in with a seamless transition my camera dose not pick it up to well check the photo's at the end of the video. as regards to the gold. it was the look that represents sanguinius. I can understand why a few people do not like it though :)

  • @OrcPainterNerd You are right the video doesn't do it justice for some reason but the stills after look fantastic - I think the level of highlighting is so subtle and well done that you really need a close up real life look to appreciate the work. Really nice well done!

  • wow fucking love it lad

  • @SoulDrinkers1001 Thank you bud

  • Holy crap sir, that's gorgeous! I for one really like the gold, I think people have a problem with it because of its luster and how bright it is and in 40k it's all about wear and tear, but Sanguinius was a demigod cloaked in resplendence and natural perfection...in short, I always imagined him to be above getting blood and dirt on his armor anyway.

  • @Xefa01 wow what a comment. I could not have explained myself in the video as good as your example there, but i was going for that liam neeson clash of the titans armour so bright it is untrue

  • im sorry to say i hate the gold but the rest is top notch. its just my opinion though

  • @thatgingakid thank you i guess lol. It is very different to most things but sanginuis had super gold and shinny armour and dull and boring armour would not have reflected that :)

  • Gorgeous buddy

  • @HazardSyndrome thank you

  • I think it is a gorgeous mini bro. The subtle metallic color changes between the red gold, copper, old gold, etc give the armor some nice depth. All around a real beauty, fantastic job! I personally wouldn't change a thing!

  • @warchild40k thank you buddy i was trying to go for a real natural highlight with shadows forming as you look at it from and direction it looks much better when you see with your own eyes the light bouncing all around the armour :)

  • I can't say if it's a representation of Sanguinius or not. I've never even painted a Blood Angel let alone read their fluff. But what I can say is that is one very cool looking mini and would be a wonderful head to any Blood Angels Army. Top work mate.

  • @JudgeGudge thanks buddy you would love the GW book collected visions. It has so many different painting of all the primarch and chapters

  • Great mini. Are You planing to record the upcoming campaignas battle report?

  • @Durley1939 im sure brian and mac will be :)

  • i think more shadows in the rims and cornors would be nice

  • @IroncladIrony thank you for the contructive advice but i think leaving the armour as it is gives it a very unique look :)

  • Really well done. As a blood Angel player myself I think i might have to pick myself up one of these. Thanks for showing us the model and your fantastic paintjob.

  • @StandardName3 thanks mate i can say that it is well worth the money :)

  • top job! he will be great at the head of the host

  • @Spiralvex Thank you

  • I think the armor needs more definition. While the highlights are all very well done, from what I'm seeing all the mid-tones tend to blend together and it looks rather flat. I think some black or brown glazes where the armor plates meet would really break up the surface of the armor, and give a nice effect. As it is now, look at the difference between the gold armor and the chain hanging over his loincloth. The chain has a full range of values, while the armor seems to lack any shadows.

  • @dexterKong you are correct in the fact the chain has deeper shadows but i wanted his armour to really super reflective and shiinny, like liam nelson armour in the clash of the titans. If i was adding shadows would have dulled it down to much. This is one of those minis when your holding it in your hands and turning it really comes to life :)

  • @OrcPainterNerd Hey I understand. Cameras are notorious for not accurately showing what a model really looks like when you have it in front of you. Even so, I would have put some more darks in, but then again I'm not nearly as good a painter as you are. What counts is this is your model, so as long as you are happy with it, that's all that matters.

  • lol @Sanguinius finished cash4gold to buy his armour

  • @jonathanburr89 glad you spotted it bud no dale winton in site, strange? lol

  • Great paint, I think Primarchs are a bit 'bigger' he is taller due to the base....whats a foot to foot comparison...but I love the gold..

  • @synthetikdemon yeah about head and shoulders biger than a normal marine

  • Awsome miniature I have got to try and get my hands on a mini like this and give it a paint job. Great work, keep it up

  • @PlusD6 thank yeah scibor make fine mini's

  • Fantastic work as allways c:

  • fantastic bro

  • @CranberryMuffinmanz thank you muffy :)

  • Love the way you've done the gold mate. Brilliant work =)

  • @inspiredprophet thanks buddy

  • Massive fan of this... it really only has one flaw:

The red really needs some definition to it, especially on the chestpiece. Not sure whether I'd suggest a wash or just to do it again with some darker reds.

Could be a matter of preference though.

  • @Henners1991 the red has been highlighted bud then brought back down with a mix of vallejo scarlet red glaze medium and varnish to give it a natural stone like finish it looks better in person bud ( i know that sounds like a cop out lol )

  • That is stunning, a work of art mate.

  • @Wortiger thank you for the kind words bud

  • Beautiful mate ;)

  • @TemplarsCrusade01 thanks brian :)

  • @bloodofthefallen1 sweet i hope you have fun with your mini :)

  • I see why it's looking very gold to me. The mix of the metallic you used. Very nice work! I usually used 3 shades of gold metalic for large coverage like that to. It sorta works. Comes out when a neat effect eh?

  • @SMConsortium yeah liquid gold in the vallejo range gives stunning results

  • He is REALLY gold! :) Awesome job!

  • @SMConsortium thanks buddy

  • Thanks for the info on the blood splatter, very cool! Did you just paint the sword model Air Steel? The thing is excellence, amazing work.
