  • Awesome!

  • Why isn't there a SchoolTube, for teachers and schools to post educational and scientific videos to?

  • @WillowFox well I m a teacher of Mathematics myself, so regard my channel as one, since its an educational channel at the first place and my profession here is Astronomy !!

  • @WillowFox there accuatly is one!!! its called teachertube

  • Nice video, I was looking for info on whether the north pole consistently faces away from certain stars in the galaxy over a short time (~a decade, preferably leaning away 30-40 degrees), which would fit nicely in a story I'm writing. Do you know if this holds for certain stars? I don't need any specific names of stars. (I was trying to judge from this picture, looks like it holds true for stars to the left of earth here: calgary(dot)rasc(dot)ca/images/solar_system_from_galactic_centre(dot)gif

  • @PianoGamer64 if you look for informatin about Earth Axial Rotation then I advice you to google search (Precession of the Equinox), then you learn that Earth Axis that is tilted at an angle of 23.5 degree makes a complete cirular revolution around in 26000 years, because of it, the North Pole star (now Polaris) changes as well as Seasonal dates. the change is apparent in millenniums not in decades, it changes one zodial constellation evey 2000 years, so Vernal equinox contellations change too!

  • Happy New Year! LOL

  • Noble Qur'an 21: 33 It is He who created The Night and Day, And the Sun and Moon; each of them Swim (float) along in its own course (Orbit).

  • If the earth is moving like this why have the constellations never changed in human history?

  • @YamiPoyo the conetellations which are made by stars usually with no relation to each other but case of perespective, however those stars are too far. it takes thousands of years to make an appreciable changes to be noticed. they were almost like this when the ancient reported them and would stay as such for sometimes. however they do change, even sensitive astronomical equpiments can recored such changes..however I can make video to show you how they change over times, you just gave an idea.thnx

  • @KurdstanPlanetarium you are so cool in here,^^ nwy in the Noble Qura'n 21: 33 It is He who created The Night and Day, And the Sun and Moon; each of them Swim (float) along in its own course (Orbit). i like it much your vid.

  • @YamiPoyo Recorded human history is only a few thousand years old. It takes much longer to notice it.

  • This rotation looks wrong. The earth is tilted 23.5 degrees on its rotation axis when it revolves it wobbles. The north and south poles sweep out a double sided cone. There is no cone swept here.

  • All I wanted to know is which way it rotates compared to how it revolves. It clearly showed it.

  • "The North pole always points in the same direction in space". Bullshit! Ever hear of the "Procession of the Equinox", or the "Great Year", or even the Earth's wobble?

  • @AvatarRoku1 have I heard of Precssion of Equinox? very funny, I have a video about it here in my channel, just search it under Precession of Equinox and you there.

The one here tells you about is for a short period of time, here you have 3 years shown to you, and I belive you agree in 3 years hardly a shigt happens.

It takes 26000 years for a complete rotation of the Earth axis due to precession of Equinox, and as result the seasons, constellations and ploar stars changes positions !!

  • this is a good video nice job

  • @romenanazaryan you welcome...glad you enjoyed it and found it useful

  • why am i watching diz?!?!

  • @nazgulman9 because you want to be smarter and know something about universe we're living in ?:) :D

  • @nazgulman9 ikr

  • Respond to this video... wait so shit if hmm will so this means we earth might wow

  • Sura 36:40:in the noble Qur'an

    38. And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him: that is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing.

    39. And the Moon,- We have measured for her mansions (to traverse) till she returns like the old (and withered) lower part of a date-stalk.

    40. It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law).

  • So, how is the Sun moving?

  • @blankname11 under the powerful gravitational force of the Milky Way Galaxy, as every other object in the universe on the move, so the Galaxies themselves on the move too. nothing is static in the universe, even the universe itself is expanding and on the move !!

  • so on what base the sun is rotating to? what keep sun moving? where we heading? godddd i better go to bed, its too much for me now

  • if you like you can add the movment of the galaxy too :)

  • Sometimes i think im a carrot :)

  • nice video rotation n revolution

  • i dun no the earth spin in circle

  • I guess that's what they mean when they say why are we here.. I think what they meant to say was.. "Where are we going" lol.

  • amazing video... never knew until now that sun too move.. so bad!!

  • @amazan18 good now you know it deos too and when it does it caries all the planets, moons and other objects with it through the Galaxy

  • @amazan18 glad you enjoyed it...

  • Can someone explain to me why our moon orbits earth instead of the sun?

  • @NotBadYeah good question, mabey the two have been together very long. the moon has way less mass then earth so it would be attracted to it. and for people who think im stupid and would just say "gravity", i know what it is. its crazy you know. i under stand with jupiters moons and saturn. the moon seems to big to come in as an asteroid and land perfectly in earths orbit, very good question, just think of possibilities, if you think you thought of them all, your two ideas more away

  • @NotBadYeah

I does orbit the sun, it is just locked in to a barycentric system with the earth. There is no gravity just curved space-time!!

  • The earth doesn't rotate, nor does it go around the sun.

It is stationary, in the center of the universe. The whole universe moves around it's center - at which location the earth is placed.

Read: Galileo was wrong, the Church was right. You will see that science has been choosing it's path based on philosophical reasons, not on scientific reasons. The science doesn't support a moving earth; it is willfully interpreted that way - the science supports geocentrism.

    Godbless.

  • @sharbel23 yeah the same church which predicts a flat Earth?

    Solid stuff

  • @hamzie11

The church has never taught a flat earth - ever. Churchmen held to a flat earth because that is what society held to - but the church never taught it. Neither is there anything in scripture which refers to a flat earth. The original Latin translation of the bible very often uses the term "orbis terrarum" for the earth. "Orbis" can mean world, but can also mean orb or circle. That translation was made in the late 4th - early 5th century.

    The church has taught geocentrism.

  • @sharbel23 Ever heard of the Roman Inquisition? Under that, the Holy See (sanctioned by the Roman Catholic Church) charged some astronomers, such as Giordano Bruno, guilty of heresy for pantheism.

Galileo was persecuted by the Church. "To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin."

Cardinal Bellarmine, during the trial of Galileo, 1615

  • @1Joyeux

I know of the various inquisitions. Evil enemies of the truth have always tried to undermine the Divinely revealed truth. When the Church of God had greater influence because there were many more believers, it allowed for the Church to take action against these persons. Galileo was not persecuted. Just measures were taken against him in order to restrict his activity. He was treated well - his prison was a nice house. The earth is stationary. Moving earth = no atmosphere.

  • @sharbel23 wrong, the center of the universe would be likle pointing the center of a sphere -_-, we are moving at 20 m/s right now -_- and we are falling toward the sun -_- sicne we are in 3 dimensions instead of 4 we rotate-_- dumass

  • @iamgig9876

You didn't actually say anything which refutes my statement.

Watch a video called Geocentrism uploaded by a user called davecyco.

The man in the video explains how tests have detected the movement of ether around the earth. We aren't hurtling through space - if we were, the atmosphere would be stripped off the earth, because space is not a vacuum but has mass, which is ether. Science is only recently coming to this knowledge, calling it "dark matter".

  • @sharbel23 lol dark matter, exists and it is mainly the matter which we cannot observe.. it also makes up all the matter that is too far away to see, what you say is that dark matter is the dark part of space.. which would make dark matter, not 83% of the universe but 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999%... There is no such thing as ether....CH3-CH2-O-CH2-CH3... neutrinos are dark matter not fucking retarded ether lol

  • As you go away from your sun you will see that the sun is moving thru space ten times faster than the earth is moving around it. Then you will finally see that the earth does not rotate around the sun like you once thought it did but follows it with a wavering path going always forward and never backward. See Video 8a Lessons for New-man in my channel.

  • there's actually 23 hours and 56 minutes in one Earth rotation. The extra 4 minutes is due to the fact that the Earth is also revolving around the sun. So taking all this into account, there's 24 hours in a day.

  • Thank you for the video...

Mentioned in Quran 31:29, 1400 years ago.... :)

"He has made the sun and the moon subservient (to you) — each pursues its course till an appointed time..."

  • @vaziiam Everybody knew that as far back as 4000 years ago, sorry.

  • @athanasiadis24 dude 1000 years ago non-Muslims people always thought the earth were a SQUARE !! and they tried to kiLL the guy who told them it's circle

  • so this explains the precession of the equinoxes?

  • so this explains the precession of the equinoxes.

  • @susidecastro not really its more about the movements of Earth with that of the Sun around Milky Way Galaxy...but I do have other videos about Precession of the Equinoxes, hope you enjoy them .

  • DNA

  • Cool video, but somewhat misleading/missing information [I understand why though].

The earth's pole doesn't always face the same direction. There's axial precession, precession of the ecliptic, perihelion precession, nutation, polar motion, and the Earth Orientation Parameters are always changing as well. There are loads of cycles on top of cycles. Also, not only does the sun revolve around the galaxy, the galaxy is also moving in space. Perhaps the universe is also moving w.r.t. something?

  • Like some people are not good with maths or don't know their left from right, I can hardly wrap my brain around what the earth, moon, sun, the most obvious commuters, do in terms of orbiting, rotating, travelling, you name it. Until this clip I had no idea that the sun travels. Thank you for the education. This time of year in Spain I can see the Big Dipper very well. For years I wondered what that big question mark was called. ;)

  • @NovaScotiaChick you welcome...glad you found it useful

I have more vidoes about basics of Astronomy if you needed help...

  • @KurdstanPlanetarium

I didn't know the sun could move at all!. This means the other planets Axials move in the same pattern as Earths, Right?.

  • @HBKanedge818 The Sun does moves aroun the centre of Galaxy & draging the planets with it, but that doest not affect the planets axial rotation... each planets has its own axial rotaion, and they varied considerably, the only one that have similar axial roation to Earth is Mars, so Mars has seasons just like Earth but there durations are twice that of Earth.. Uranus is actually tilted 98 degress and moves sidewa\y, Venus is tilted 187 degress and rotates bacward, i.e. Retrograde movement.

  • @NovaScotiaChick you didnt know the galaxy rotates? of course the sun moves if the galaxy is rotating

  • And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing

And the moon, We have measured for it mansions (to traverse) till it returns like the old dried curved date stalk.

It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit.

    Holy Quran 36:38-40

  • interesting

  • In the last sentence she said ".... as the sun travels through our galaxy".

I wonder. I thought sun is at the same spot in the space.

    Does sun travels ?

Does sun moves in the space?

  • @rytmf of course the sun travels throught the space and it takes the all planets wit it, it orbits around the centre of the Milk Way galaxy at a speed of 120 Km /s and it takes 250 MIllion years to complete one orbit.

  • @rytmf it moves, but it also moves in a corkscrew fashion, it follows Phi. Check out 'therealverbz' for some enlightening vidz and info! X

  • In the last sentence she said ".... as the sun travels through our galaxy".

I wonder. I thought sun is at the same spot in the space.

    Does sun travels ?

Does sun moves in the space?

  • Does anyone at the planetarium there know AZHY HASAN? He is a friend of mine. I met him a year and a half ago while travelling through Kurdistan.

  • @MJFalvella yes I have the honour to know him, he is President of Amateur Astronomers Association of Kurdistan (AAAK)..and he is my friend too.

he is a very Active member and his works on last Partial Solar Eclipse on 4 Jan 2011 was amazing through Iraq and the regions.

  • Subhan Allah !

  • hope nothing on the way.

  • ...The sun is moving.

    ...

    Well I learned something today.

  • This is more like it!

I can't stand it how all the regular depictions of the solar system ignore the movement of the solar system.

Gravity and orbits just don't make sense if you don't include the higher frame of reference.

    Orbits are not elipses!

Can anyone tell me where I can find more videos like this that show the helix nature of the Earth's orbit?

  • @B7Scorpio its all about the relative size of the motions of the planets compared to the motion of the solar system through the galaxy, if you were looking a diagram which included the milky way the helix track of the planets would not be seen, the galaxy is around 150,000 light years across, our solor system is only light hours across, the planets would be so close to the sun on the diagram you wouldnt see them. also it takes 250million years for the sun to complete one orbit.

  • Hi Great Video!!

What is the distance travelled by earth during one rotation if the sun has moved? In the video the sun is moving forward as it too is moving along its orbit...

The distance between points 1,2,3... of earth in the video, thanks!

  • @BaseCloud Interesting point makes one thinking thanx...the question you asked is about the Sun movement rather than that of Earth, as the Sun moves it drages Earth and all other planets with it, we know that Sun travells at a speed of 120 Km/s so all we have to is to multiplies with one year, we know (1 year = 31 556 926 seconds)

so the distance should be :

    120 x 31 556 926 = 3786831120 Km (i.e about 3.8 billon Km)

I hope my answer is satisfying to you

  • Thank you for the quick and precise answer!

Once again I am suprised... I was thinking the answer would be in the Millions not Billions of KM. I am 37 so I have travelled inside the Milky Way for more than 140 Billion Km Wow!

Are we the first civilization to come to this discovery or understanding? I am referring to the fact that when the 1 year rotation of Earth ends, Earth is not in the same place it started? Did the Mayan, Aztec, Egyptian or "ancient" Chineese do it? Thanks.

  • @BaseCloud Certainly thats what you travelled without realising it, happy Journey..

its true there is no absolute place but all realtive, Earth within the Solar System comes back to the same point relative to the stars, but not in the context of the Galaxy. it is interesting to know that such journey of the Sun brings it closer to some stars that cause perturbations and such distrubances caused comets in the Oort cloud to spiral in towards the sun and Earth itself causing Mass extinctions.

  • @BaseCloud As whether the Ancient knew this I am not sure, ceratinly some people have gone to say that the Mayan predicted such perturbations and hence their notorious prophecy to the end of the world in Dec 2012...Personally I discredit such claims, even i have uploaded 2 videos to answer those who make such false Prophecy in the name of the Mayan...greed and money making is some of the reasons behind such claims...but who knows what the future holds for us?

  • Shouldn't it be 23 hours, 56 min, not 54?

  • @comic4relief you are right absolutely...a sidereal day is what you said :23h: 56min: 4.091 s

  • Belive it or not Free energy is real,But the big oil corporations don't want that technology revealed,Find this technology at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Big change is comming soon!

  • the way i see its like this, after the big bang we were put in motion traveling in cirlcle at a great speed thru the universe the sun is not pulling us the sun is the remanent of the energy released by the planets in our galaxy as we cooled down and is just traveling alone.. off center because of the direction were traveling..(hope that someone with real scientific knowledge would put this in better words)

  • This is amazing. The Koran says that the sun is constantly moving in space and earth is orbiting around it. The Koran also says that the earth is round but it looks more like an egg. It also says that the earth's orbit around the sun is shaped like an egg. Amazing or what? Koran knew most scientific facts 1400 years ago and scientists have just discovered it.

  • Thanks, we loved this. We did not know that the sun itself was traveling through the galaxy. Where is it headed?...

  • @omdurwebmaster you welcome...glad you learnt something new today

yes the Sun is moving in a galactic orbit around the centre of Milky Way and it takes 250 millons years to complete a circle...right now the dirction of the movement is towards the Star Vega..

  • @omdurwebmaster

this said allah in quran about your question.

[36:39] And the sun is moving on the course prescribed for it. That is the decree of the Almighty, the All- Knowing God.

[36:40] And for the moon We have appointed stages, till it becomes again like an old dry branch of a palm-tree.

[36:41] It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day. All of them float in an orbit.

  • anu to bugo

  • sun moves as well????

    FUCK

  • @crazykailash yep, Sun orbits the centre of the galaxy. Our galaxy is moving too, as is the local cluster.

  • Bible sciptures : Deuteronomy 11:30 :The way where the sun goeth down

Ecclesiastes 1:5 The sun also ariseth and the sun goeth down and hasteth to the place where he arose

  • Quran verses : 36:40 (ASAD) [and] neither may the sun overtake the moon, nor can the night usurp the time of day, since all of them float through space [in accordance with Our laws].

    36:38 And [they have a sign in] the sun: it runs in an orbit of its own [and] that is laid down by the will of the Almighty, the All-Knowing;

21:33 and [fail to see that] it is He who has created the night and the day and the sun and the moon – all of them floating through space!

  • if the earth is rotating around the sun at 67,000 miles per hour then it should have a tail seen from spaceships in outter space . if the earth spins around its axis then Nasa lied about sending men to moon and those pictures and videos were orchestrated in Hollywood , if the earth is static then they didnt lie about moon landing.

  • @heartkingdom lol what?

You clearly have got the slightest clue about astrophysics. But then again, your other posts implies that you are a rather radical muslim, in which case such intelligence to know much about our universe is impaired already.

  • @BlackRaptor31 yes im muslim but not radical , i believe in what is said in holy books about the universe more than any modern science , i find no credibility in astrophysics.

    thats my point of you.

  • The biggest lie we have been told is that the earth spins around its axis and around the sun at an imaginary speed , the earth is the center of the universe and the center of the great explosions , the center cant rotate but anything around it does.

the earth is static and the sun rotates around the earth. NASA and the Department of Defense Launch Satellites into space based on FIXED EARTH Calculations.

  • @heartkingdom You are correct, in relativity. From out perspective, the whole universe rotates around the Earth. If we were on another planet, say, Jupiter, then it would also be that the whole universe rotates around jupiter. Everything rotates around everything. If space is curved, then also, technically, everything is the centre of the universe, so Earth is also the centre of the universe.

  • @RevengeOfTheAbyss Its just difficult to understand how things operate beyond regular spatial dimensions. Depending on the point at which we stand, we are each in the centre of the universe. So if we travelled half-way across the universe, it would seem like we were still in the centre of the universe, until we realise that if we keep travelling we just go around in circles, while technically stationary at the same point. Its relativity in terms of spatial location of each object.

  • @RevengeOfTheAbyss It is my personal theory that many of our measurements need to be compensated for this factor, so far we assume a "flat" universe, like a "flat" Earth that people believed in before, if we account for space curvature when measuring distances, then we would need to know the distance of which the universe starts to repeat itself, however, at the time taken at the speed of light to reach the point at which we started, the universe itself would have changed, therefore, spiralling.

  • @RevengeOfTheAbyss basically, it would be a kind of 4-dimensional graph, each XYZ axis picture frame would be at a certain interval in time, and the axis for time, would be the different states the objects are at different time periods, depending on where we measure time from, we have multiple time/space locations. This opens up an aspect where there is some kind of bridging between different time/space relativities, or the 5th dimension... But i'd better leave that up to quantum physics.

  • @RevengeOfTheAbyss It assumes that there is an inherrent geometry to the structure of space and time, as the geometry of the orbit of planets and stars links to gravity and the "rate of time" between two planets/stars/galaxies...

  • @RevengeOfTheAbyss Note: In general relativity the universe does _not_ rotate around the Earth. "All motion is realtive" only applies to _non-accelerating_ reference frames. A rotating object is accelerating, so relativity can not be applied that easily. There is a certain truth to us being in the center of the univers, thought - in the same way as any point on a circle is at the "center" of the circle...

  • Christ some people on these comments are AMAZINGLY THICK. The earth is in orbit around the sun sure. But the sun moves around our galaxy which is itself moving outwards from the 'centre' of the universe. Try to picture the WHOLE universe as a giant analogue clock with many rotations and orbits.

  • @Smiffster2006 I guess you know it better, the trouble of visualisng all these movements of Earth within the Universe by some commenting here, its not so complicated after all but requires some extra keen attentions & imaginations that all...

  • what we just watched was discovered and said 1400 years ago.........

  • what we just watched was discovered 1400 year ago.......

  • Then i suppose that every Orbit of the Earth arownd the Sun is "unique" as shape and distance to the Sun in all (let say 4) directions??

  • How can the Earth "point to the same direction in the sky (the North)" when the Earth is circleing arownd the Sun?? It would be completely crazy if the Earth poinnted in one and the same single point! Something is wronge as Hell here!

  • @sportsnut712001 thats because the stars are so far away from the Earth, that despite Earth revolution around the sun from a distance 150 million Km, Earth axis basically is pionts to the same directon, the difference in 6 monthes time maybe a couple of seconds of Arc...i.e very minute so we dont even count it.

  • @KurdstanPlanetarium i think this s practically impossibly that the Earth s pointing in the same point. Direction is one thing. But a point is other thing. Here is the difference in miliards (i believe!) of km

  • @sportsnut712001 as far as the star is concerned we dont deal in Km even in billions, we use light years is the only proper measuring system for such immense distances, and the diameter of Earth orbit is only 300 millon Km, but the nearest star is 4.3 light years away from us, so that 300 million years is so minute if you look at it from even the nearest star, that you dont even see that the sun has planets...

  • @KurdstanPlanetarium So the whole Orbite of the Earth arownd the Sun is what they caunt as the "same point"?

  • @KurdstanPlanetarium Ekh, i know everything that s old stuff for me. But when one s up to try the REAL truth, then one thinks with planetary and ordinary meassures.

Then i think this "point" is with the diameter of the orbit of The Earth arownd the Sun then, with other words...?

  • the earth dosnt travel through the galaxy it stays in oneplace hahahahah

  • @kawsar The Earth is part of the Sun and the Sun make one revolution around the centre of the Milky Way Galaxy every 250 Million years, taking Earth and the rest of the Solar System with it...hahaha

  • @kawsar the fact the the sun moves around the centre of the galaxy is pretty basic stuff. Also allows accurate dates to be calculated by measuring relative changes in the position and distance of certain stars. Which as a geek I find amazing.

  • So what this means is that we're "moving up" in the galaxy! I knew we'd make a name for ourselves around here. (That is, if you define "up" according to the northern hemisphere being the top of the earth.)

  • @randommagnum you know the Sun with its retenue of Planets, moons...etc, is moving around the centre of Milky way galaxy in about 250 Millon years in a distance of 30000 light years from the centre of the Galaxy...but up and down in space is directional..i.e counted from North pole of the Sun or Earth..

  • A year is 365,24 days not 365,26

  • @Blammo25 it dependes on which year you are talking about:

a Tropical year is 365.2425 days

a Calender year is 365.2427 days

a Sidereal year is 365.256363 days

so the one in this referring to this by approximation

  • @KurdstanPlanetarium Ah I understand now thx!

  • @Blammo25 sat

  • The north pole does not point to the same place in the sky.

Due to the wobble of the earth's axis (not mentioned here) the stars appear to fall back 1 degree in 72 years. This was known to the Mayan civiliazation and the Greeks (and others) and is called the Precession of the Equinoxes.

The wobble (axial rotation) causes climate change just as the tilt of the axis gives us summer and winter.

  • @AcePilot2009

thats true, Precession of Equinox takes about 26000 years in which Earth axial rotaion makes a complete rotations tracing out different stars each time, Tuban or Alpha Dragon was the North Celestial pole 3000 BC.

  • do we age based on the rotation of the earth if the earth stops do we stop aging plz answer

  • ohh very nice question...the best I heard so far

  • @senior1mexicano2 no.. see my movies for answers.

  • nope... it is due to sin entering into the world through the first man adam... the dieing process begin and even more so when the law was handed down through moses...im serious here!

  • @senior1mexicano2 see my movies for answers.

also we will be older .0077665 sec

  • @senior1mexicano2 No, we age based on our bodies' rate of decay. We just measure it by how many times the Earth has been around the sun (years) because that's a global way of telling time.

  • @senior1mexicano2 Our age is a Time and Time will not stop even the earth rotation stop.

  • As our days and seasons are based on a cyclical rotation, day to night - summer to winter, can it be considered that the whole system is rotating on an even bigger system creating an ice age...heat age(?) and our warming is not because of humans but because of a bigger rotation and we are getting farther from our last ice age and approaching a "heat age" like a larger pattern of cyclical seasons but ages?

  • don't forget Earth's revolution tilt of 23.5 degrees that is responsible for season times

  • nice video :)

  • Q: Why does the video say the earth's south pole is always facing the top when even the Mayans knew thousands of years ago that it completes a wobble every 26000 years?

as for the straight line discussion, don't forget that the sun also moves along a sinus-like function up and down the milky way disc, completing one cycle every 60000 years (so it returns to equilibrium every 30000 years)!

  • hi handplanty: thanx for the coment, as for your queston well first it says the north pole (not South Pole) always points in the same direction in space, that does not mean a fixed star but the direction and we know as you said it takes 25800 years to make a complet rotation which is due to the precession of the equinox, a very slow motion indeed, nevertheles brings dramatic changes even to seasons.

as for the sinus wobbley movement of the Sun i really dont know it but i m sure it does.

  • nice video/diagram.

It reminded me of a verse from Quran (36:38)

translation of the verse 36:38 :

(And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing.)

    source:

    w w w . quran . c o m /36/38

    another translation:

(And the sun runs on to a term appointed for it; that is the ordinance of the Mighty, the Knowing.)

  • how can the sun travel straight with something pulling on it?

  • The sun in fact does not travel straight as the diagaram show and is drawn for simplicity, as you know the sun circles the Galaxy in once every 250 million years, this what appears to be straight in face a very complicated many movement of the sun, that is simplified here.

  • The diagram shows 3 years of travel, whereas the sun takes (like you said) 250 million years to do one rotation in the galaxy. 3 years of travel would definately be 99.9999999% straight

"how can the sun travel straight with something pulling on it"

The sun is so vast compared to any of it's planets, none of the planets could ever have any noticable effect on the "orbit" of the sun.. The earth-sun size ratio in the video is extremely off. (The sun is waaaaay bigger.)

  • my friend dont get confused because of the diagram, it only simplify the real complex movement of the sun. the sun moves around the centre of Milky Way Galaxy in a probably eliptical orbit, what you see as a straight line is just 3 years is part of a biger eliptical orbit. yes the planets too small to afect the suns movement, see Earth - Moon movement around the sun as a smaller version how Earth moves around the sun and yet pulling Moon along the way. the same with sun pulling the planets.

  • Well you just repeated what I said :P

It's basic maths - if you zoom in far enough into any function (an elliptical one, a circle, anything...) you'll get a straight line. In this case the zoom rate is 3 years to 250 billion years, which is certainly enough to give you a straight line. (Hence, the diagram is actually right about the straight movement.)

  • you are absolutely right friend, yet the diagram still simplifying a much complexer movements in space.

  • Did you see how many years or revolutions shown in the diagram? you cannot have a curved course with only three years of 250 million years. Got it?

  • Is the earth moving around the sun in same pivot level???..I mean pivot sun at the same level of pivot earth(middle line between north and south)???

  • yes it does but dont forget that line which is called Earth axis is rotating very slowly and makes a complete rotation with respect of the Northern and southern stars in 25800 years, which is called prcession of the equinox.

  • THANK YOU

  • thanks!
