Nice Bajan Tag. I am Liberian but my maternal Grandma parents were born in Barbados. They migrated to Liberia long long time ago. When I watched videos about Barbados and learned about the culture I felt a strong connection. The day I found out I had Bajan in me I wasn't surprise because certain things my family does you can see and feel the Bajan in us. I can relate to your video.

I just saw your video, and NO macaroni and cheese is NOT the boxed Kraft mac and cheese, at least not to African Americans. What we refer to as macaroni and cheese is pretty much the same as you described macaroni pie (without the ketchup).

i haven't been to barbados since 2007 but boy i love it. i was born in birmingham england but my grandfather was from ChristChurch. My grandpa was born in Barbados and my grandma was in St. Lucia, and my mom was born in Barbados too but when she turned 15 her and her family moved to England then when she turned 18 she moved to Canada! My dad is swedish and Canadian lol and I was born on Canada..95% of my accent is Canadian and the other 5% is kinda Barbados and English. Can you please teach us how to speak in the Barbados accent! I would love to get it fully:)

I'm going to Barbados tomorrow :D I'm like quarter Bajan I think? my Grandparents on my dads side was both half Bajan half British, so that makes my dad half Bajan and then my mums white British so I'm a bit messed up haha! I don't speak to my Dad but I speak to my Aunties so I'm going over to meet the rest of my family with them tomorrow! I've never been before so I was kinda nervous, but this video has reassured me that it will be good because by the sounds of it the people are really nice! :)

I love Barbados so much! You're so right, friendliest people I've ever met and I'm quite well travelled. Everybody's so laid back and you feel so welcomed and safe! And the people are so tall :) we liked that a lot as my family are all tall.

Lol! Noooooo! Kraft is not real mac and cheese. Macaroni and cheese is elbow macaroni, cheddar cheese and egg (to make it stick) baked together. It's soooo good! Some people put bread crumbs on top, but I don't prefer that. Kraft is garbage. lol
