@garyguitar" You're right, this was a hit by one-hit- wonder, Thomas Wayne in 1959. A great song.
Will check him out on Youtube to see if he had any other recordings. As with most hit songs of the era it was featured on Dick Clarks's afternoon American Bandstand TV show.
Thomas Wayne and the Delons had the original hit on this in 1959, Brenda Lee recorded it in '61. Danny used a chord progression similar to Night Life. THis is NOT a version of Night Life of course. Different melody completely, anyone with any musical sense would know that. Good grief, mrcreate clean out your ears.
I've always loved this song, even thought I should write lyrics for it... I was in Austin, TX, and I heard Jesse Dayton playing this song, called Night Life, originally recorded by vocalist Ray Price. This is an instrumental version of that song, which was written by Willie Nelson. It's awesome.
@mrcreate THis is NOT Nightlife done as an instrumental even though Danny used a chord progression that was used in Nightlife. Check out my other post. Lyrics were written in '59, so you dont have to bother, hah! Pull it up on youtube Tragedy by Thomas Wayne and the Delons, it sold a million. Duh.
I'm working on a free guitar tab for this song, so if anyone is interested keep checking back and I will post a link when I'm done. It might be awhile though, as I have several others to finish first.
I fell like crying everytime I play this. We lose to many Treasures to soon in Life.
One of my best Musical discoveries on Youtube. Thankyou.

Mike Ault, my guitar instructor, is working on this tab for me. He was an acquaintance of Danny's.
