He pulled his hands away to indicate that the foul was clearly made before the shot. He (and many other veterans in the league would have done the same) did this so that there would be no possible way the dumbass refs who had already called 61 fouls and a number of ridiculous ticky tack calss throughout the game, could misconstrue it as a shooting foul and give Melo yet even more unearned free throws which the officials had been spoon feeding him all day.

Of course that's why there's controversy, the shot never should've counted...And like the guy below said, if he had missed the shot then DENVER would've no doubt complained so don't make it out to be like the Mavs are "whiners." Especially when you have a legit argument. Idc if he "should've wrapped him up", the refs knew he was gonna commit an intentional foul & blew it after calling awful shit the whole game. Plus, Anthony committed TWO fouls by pushing off that they also decided to miss.

I don't know. There were hard fouls throughout the game that weren't called. This wasn't hard enough to be definitely a foul, or it was just one of those the refs let pass. Either way, UNBELIEVABLE SHOT!!!!!! So clutch!

that had to be a fixed game theres no freaking way the reffs call about 70 fouls the entire game but he doesnt call the actuall intentional foul, it was just all bull shit.
