Wooh - mistake! He said you can add on the external power supply - the PSX-R - but you cannot. Notice, even as he says it we are treated to a view of the rear of the unit: no input for the PSX-R there!
However, if he's referring to sending it back to Cyrus for upgrade, then I'm wrong.
