Okay, don't diss the movie so much. They needed to make it stand on their own. In case you didn't know, Percy would really be turning 18 this year. Check it out and do some math. Books are always better than movies. You read and you visualize your own images of what that inside world of the story is like. Watch the movie and it ruins the image you created. Get it? Don't blame anyone. What I do even after watching the movie is keep my own "movie" in my head. Try it. :)

The only major plot point I saw wrong was the god of war not being used by Kronos who was behind everything and they could easily be waiting to say all that information for other movies like they did with the HP movies. (example: bILL SAYS HE'S GETTING MARRIED IN 6TH BOOK AND IT IS A PLOT ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE BOOK AND IN THE 7TH MOVIE IT BECOMES A COUPLE OF SECONDS) Effective way of boiling it all down.
