I play on Rookie and Pro (yes, I'm a noob, feel free to insult me :3) and this is definitely a harder mode. I can't guess where the pitch is on either difficulty, I can only guess the pitch itself. I personally think this is impressive. To all the haters, let's see YOU do this!

dude the modes dont change the difficulty of the game. hall of fame mode allows u to use the left joystick to guess wat area the ball will go retard. ive played in every mode. example of wat im talking about : hold the joystick up for a fly out, joy stick down for a ground ball. i play mlb everyday on my psp.
