@KJC1997....sure you did, you realize that's over twice the world record score right? I seriously doubt you could post a score of 38k on one coin, especially on the correct dip switch settings(factory default).
I've broken 20k myself...just got my game up and running and think I might be able to push 25k with some hard practice. That would take an absolute flawless run though, and I mean FLAWLESS...not hitting a single wall, getting every lucky break etc....

Yeah I'm using a steering wheel. I'm gonna try for the super sprint record next. But it is a great way of playing cause it is an exact arcade replication. But I been wanting a world record since I watched the king of kong.
I actually am playing out of my home right now. I am playing using the MAME emulator, which Twin galaxies does allow, but only for the MAME world record. They only have Super Sprint at FunSpot. On SS you can choose a 1500 point bonus when you get 3 wrenches which is part of the game. I set the record on Championship Sprint with no Best Lap times which I guess is a questionable element of a World Record. If we setup a Championship Sprint machine and had (NO SCORES on the machine.. We could blow out the record because we would get best lap times on every race. We would break 30K.. (How the heck are you playing on Mame? Sterring wheel?

Headlear - Congrats!! I only have one question before I really feel the pressure.. When you played the game. Did you receive ANY (BEST LAP TIME BONUS) when you were playing? When i played I did not beat any lap times which gives you a Bonus Wrench and 500 to 1000 point bonus. If you didn't.. well then HOLLY CRAP!! awesome job. It's tough to break 20000. I can't wait to see your run and can I ask WHERE you are playign? My Sprint is broken here in NJ. Would love to be able to play again.

All I can say is well done, in this world of throwaway console games and two-bob arcade games with 42" rearprojection screens stained to buggery and nooooo soul... it's nice to see something like this.
You care about old video games and this old video game is a 24-carat classic.

Thanks for the comments Glen. I just got this really cool medal for setting this score. LOL!! I'm looking forward in setting a better World Record on Super Sprint. I know I can get higher than 16,210 after getting so far on Championship Sprint. I look forward in sharing more with you in the future.

The last level I played in the video is the first time a track repeats.. It's the first track I play in the video only with metal poles and faster cars..
Ok. One last thing--does the owner let you play this game for free knowing you are closing in on a WR? I wonder if plunking down all those quarters is an issue to you.
