Santelli Arguing against "redistrubutionism".

I agree with Rick Santelli, but I must take exception with his saying that his "Ayn Rander" position is not the most humanitarian position. The fact of the matter is that the kindest, most humanitarian thing you can do is to do what Rand and Santelli have done -- defend the individual's inviolable right to his own life & own property. The humanitarian thing is to side with the innocent individual against the Big Government Behemoth trying to steal the individual's money at gunpoint.

Yeh, would be pretty immoral to act in a certain way just because it was "efficient". He's obviously using the word 'humanitarian' in its modern, self-sacrificial sense, but nonetheless, Ayn Rand is as pro-humanitarian or pro-human as they come.
