I saw Donovan in concert in San Diego in 1972. Of all the songs people asked him to sing he only sang mine. I asked for "I love my shirt". He really dug that song himself.. He was amazing...

He does a good job of trying to put a rhythm to it, but it needs the bongos, and to a lesser extent the flute, to not sound like a camp-fire song.
