All u proffesional horn players got a question! Every time I try to play the higher notes I get this strange vibrato and I want to know how to get rid of it, don't make fun of me cause I'm only a begginer plus there is nothing wrong with my horn.

i think its because you lack of air to properly play the note

Recently, I got to play Freischutz - though while wearing my timp hat, not my horn hat :(

Freschutz is amazing, as is this performance, as would be expected. People, I don't think it really matters if it sounds like a bass trombone seeing as [I believe] Weber wrote parts of the 3rd trombone part as a fifth horn part... Haha

Sarah is the best Low Hornist in the Galaxy !! amazing stable (stabil) !! but sounds like bass trombon because of microphone position.The bell of Sarah looks directly to the microphone.Normally her sound is much better and like Horn.Also nice performance from Baborak and especially Dohr.

It's good that "Sarah" has fans, for she, as the others, is a member of a great orchestra and is therefore, an excellent player. But to label her the "best" might be an exaggeration because there are many superb low players; low hornists do not usually have their talents exposed publically. And some of those superb low hornists are not seated low horn. This is entertaining playing and I salute them.
