Well the remake states agnes is his sister. but the reason this film was made the way it was was to keep you guessing. Nothing is revealed. Could drive you absolutely nuts couldn't it? That was their intentions. This film is a beautifully classic horror gem!!!

scary movies are hardly scray these days. this one looks awesome. jeepers creepers was fucking scary as shit until you started seeing closeups of the monster and then it was gay. m night shimalon's signs was scary and stayed that way till the end because they barely showed the aliens and haloween was a instant classic but most modern horror movies just try and make you jump not get frightened. one missed call was the biggest piece of shit ever because it wasn't subtle

Subtlety is what makes it so creepy, it dosen't show you much, but its scary as hell.
