This promo was for a Steelers/Chargers game.

Pittsburgh won 20-16. It was played on 12-13-87. I don't know who the key player was, but I do remember it was part of a 6-game losing streak that ended the Chargers season @ 8-7 after an 8-1 start. Three of the wins were during the strike replacement player, err scab - games.

Finally! I've been looking for those old 80s NBC NFL promo commercials. The guy with the weird sounding deep raspy voice is Jackson Beck. Many years before he was the voice of Bluto in the Popeye cartoons.
