God, how boring.... horrible wind and percussion arranging... tip, get people who know the medium and know what they are doing... this is just lame and an epic fail.
No, the State Finals event was only selling a DVD of the whole competition. I did get to film the Color Guard and National Anthem. At least they waited until after that to scold the people that brought video cameras!! Thanks and good luck at the 5A competition!!
congrats Fort Mill to your 2nd place finish at 4A state! does anyone have a video of their performance yesterday...possibly looking over the entire band so i can see forms and stuff? jw :)
I'm one of the mcarching sisters.I'm in the 6th grade, but I'm going to be in the marching band. You should see my sisters setion leader!BEN!He's freakin' hillarious!
Shay. please, when you type, use spaces after sentences. =_= and you don't even know Ben. and you better not play flute. you ARE going to play Bass Clarinet. ^_^ 'cause were the bomb! ^_^
WOW! I wonder where your song choices came from. There is no way you guys could have taken Wando's song selection from the year before. No way at all. Seriously, this is why Wando wins (because they have originality)
yeah Wando is so original... i mean Wando didn't take "Liquid" from the Cadets 2005 show... not at all... and it was 2 years ago that Wando played "Liquid" and a year before that the Cadets played it... if your going to bash on someone, or some band you should probably get the correct information first... jackass
Jay Bocook, the composer of liquid, personally arranges all of Wando's music. I don't think Wando is taking it from the cadets when the composer himself gave it to Wando to use and arranged it personally for their use.
Um, our show IS original, not fully(2/3 selections ( that I know of ) are from DCI corps ^_^, but our drill( by Mr. G ) and song selections(not sure were Equuis came from O_O; *3rd movement*) yes, according to Mr. P. But still, OTHER bands have 'stolen' OTHER shows before. It's common, usually if a band 'steals' a show, either music or drill or both, it's really good. DCI is good, were not the ONLY band who 'stole' from them you know. And I agree with P3rcuss10n. really.
btw, Our third movement (equus) was conducted by Jay just for us, and our drill was written by a band director in the area, and our show idea originated from Mr. Ford, half assistant band director, half Film and fiction teacher. Yeah, we're not original. Oh, and look up Wando's 2006 show, guess what their opener is...LIQUID!!
Do schools with corps in their towns have a lot of kids go on to do DCI?
