  • By the way the contrary to popular misconception, 'pyaare watan' in this song is supposed to be Afghanistan as this is a Pathan singing for his country as a foreigner in India!!

  • @SuperQueenuniverse - You are most welcome, my dear friend.

  • Hello Yuan and thank you. A very touchy song about homeland. The man singing in the film is W.M. Khan. W.M. Khan sang the very first song ever in the very first Indian Talkie film, Alam Ara in 1927. It starred Prithviraj Kapoor. W.M. Khan was Pashtun just like the Kapoors. W.M. Khan was Prithviraj's closest friend. While dying in 1972, W.M. Khan at his bedside, in privacy, Prithviraj revealed all his life long secrets to his trustable friend, W.M. Khan. Some, even his own sons didnt' know.

  • @RealMusicKing - Thank you my dear friend for the valuable information.

I just added the name of W.M. Khan as the singer, with the courtesy of RealMusicKing.
