THANK YOU!!! I have a low attention span, even when my mom, and sister tried showing me a long time ago I barely remembered. This helped me cook fried chicken for myself the first time!
I never got fried chicken right, but you explain it very well.
Thanks!
PS: I hope you found some more of your Dollar General spices. Otherwise, I bet you can just make up your own custom blend (like the Colonel, but even better)! Keep up the good work. I love your channel.
I can never get my chicken to cook right. I use room temp chicken but it's always either burned on the outside or raw near the bone. Even if I use a meat thermometer there's always some raw parts near the bone. Fried chicken and pancakes are about the only two things I can't cook but the terrible thing is those are my all time favorite comfort foods. :0( Great video
I usually brine my chicken for 30 minutes, and then after patting it dry I season it and then marinate it in buttermilk overnight. I then dip in flour and wait until the batter is "gummy", which causes the batter to stick better when frying. But your chicken looks good as hell, too. :-)
Well I just stumbled onto your video while searching on a fried chicken recipe.. Looks great I'm going to try it in about 10 minutes lol.. thanks for uploading
tony chachere's is good, I order it online at their website (just google it) if I can't find it. Louisiana is filled with the all in one seasonings. Check another seasoning called Slap ya Mama... it is the best, they have a website you can order from also.
My mouth is watering. . . I needed a recipe for some chicken what's in the fridge, and i wanted fried chicken, haven't done it yet, but i'm going to cook it soon. hope it turns out well! Nice video and good instructions 10/10 for me! :)
I used this recipe to make pan fried chicken Wednesday night and it came out nice and golden and crispy. Way better than that Colonel's chicken. I feel kind of stupid saying this, but I never knew you were supposed to dip the chicken in egg first. It made all the difference in the world. Can't wait to try some more of Rosie's recipes.
Rosie, people like you are what make the web worthwhile. I'm currently using your recipe for oven-baked pork ribs and tomorrow night I'll be using this fried chicken recipe. Good eating.
Howdy Mrs. Rosie, I have a question for you! I generally double-dip the chicken in flour (after a minute or so of each side in the oil I put it back in the flour mix) what method do you prefer? I did check out your other video on "extra crispy" fried chicken but was still curious.
@zoehanson999 i'm from upstate ny home of Buffalo wings ... All you need to do is was the wings dry em then deep from them in Oil untill done ... For the sauce you wanna use franks red hot mixed with melted butter. If you want more heat add cayenne pepper. There you go Buffalo wings !!
Wow I love your cooking,, Are you,,Not "our" Single....I am an honest loving man,,Native: Native American: Navajo. Financial, always, Home: Yes, Secured: Yes, Ed: yes, BS in Urban Planning. Relationship exp: Please single & I am a one woman <<<(a), I want a you..I am a good man. Please...
Great Job..thanks for the great tips, your fried chicken looks fantastic..but my sides would be Corn on the Cobb spanish rice and some veggies,,hmmm good lol...I will surely try this pretty soon.. Season greetings and God Bless you.... ciao!!
Tony Chachere's seasoning is off the hook! I use it for everything! I buy mine at Walmart. Also, if you have Acme Supermarkets near you, they have it there as well.
@ladyrosie1983 -That's wonderful! I just seasoned my wings with it, along with some other spices a few minutes ago. Already looking forward to it!!! LOL
WOW! THAT CHICKEN HAS MADE ME SOOOOOOO HUNGRY, THANKS FOR THE INGREDIENTS IMA TRY DIS, VERY HELPFUL, HAPPY THANKSGIVING I KNOW YOU GONNA BE HOOKING IT UP [LOL]
Howdy, this video was fantastic. I'm going to try this recipe for my friends and I, as we love fried chicken! I was wondering, how long you fried the chicken for? How often do you rotate? Thanks for your time!

hi......i wanna know how long you fry the chicken in oil so that I dont burn it .........also I love my chicken to be spicy ...what would you suggest to make it more spicy...........???
@aravind1985 It really depends on the size of the chicken.... What you can do is peirce the chicken with a fork until you reach the bone. If there is no blood, its done. Remember to brown each side. If you want it more spicey you can add cayenne pepper to your flour mixture... I hope this helps :-)
Awesome! Looks delicious and easy. Thanks for including the directions on how to oven fry. My one and only attempt at stove top frying resulted in a small grease fire...LOL!! Won't be doing that ag again :)
I'm in CT and I also found the Tony's in the Dollar Tree. Have you tried the grocery stores??? We have it our grocery stores and also at Wal-Mart. If I go to Wal-Mart I can find a couple of varieties, the regular one, a spicy one and one with spices and herbs. So try there. Good luck and that chicken looks delicious!
