VBS is both OFP and ArmA but extremely enhanced for combat training simulations/exercises. Imagine NATO endorsed this? lol. Bohemia Interactive destroys Infinity Ward. Stupid overrated call of duty crap.

VBS2 is Developed from the Real Virtuality Enigne, It was developed off the Commercial Game Armed Assault, but heavily modified to fit customers/military's requirements.
ArmA is not the lite version, it is developed by BIS not BIA.
It's indeed the same engine as ArmA and essentially the exact same game. VBS is basically just a in house "mod" of sorts from (Bohemia Interactive Australia) more geared towards professionals/military sim gamers. You get extra "dev" tools with it and a better mission editor etc and more things are enabled in the engine by default (ie. you dont' need to waste hrs on armaholic trying to build your own mods) ;)
Also the VBS series has lots of addon mods stolen from the community. I know of at least 20 mods that are used in VBS2 that where made for the Arma community originally.

Most of the in-game footage in this video is ArmA. It's only the helicopter/minigun sequence that's actually VBS2.
