I really like what Bush says here, though unfortunately his actions don't correspond with what he's saying. A culture of life is in our national interest? Valuing life in all forms? Then maybe he shouldn't have been so willing to illegally invade and occupy another nation, creating one of the worst humanitarian disasters in modern history. If he understood what he was saying then he would have understood that war is the absolute last option, not the first.

@pdynamics1 The president of the US can grant a pardon simply because it is written in the Constitution. That can be changed by a Congressional and state voted on amendment. That's a great laugh of the day-Clinton did not pardon the pope. If anything the pope should pardon Clinton, but that is not possible because Clinton is incapable of remorse for all his daliances, or he has a personality disorder. LOL!!!

In the case I'm refering to, there was some guy on death row and the pope requested he be pardoned. To my surprise, Clinton actually did it and spared the guy's life from death. I can't remember the death row inmate's name though...

As far as pardoning someone on death row, that is a subjective decision by the president if he feels there is compelling information to over rule the people's decision through the jury or the president is liberal enough to ignore the Constitutional constraints on him.

I really like what Bush says here, though unfortunately his actions don't correspond with what he's saying. A culture of life is in our national interest? Valuing life in all forms? Then maybe he shouldn't have been so willing to illegally invade and occupy another nation, creating one of the worst humanitarian disasters in modern history. If he understood what he was saying then he would have understood that war is the absolute last option, not the first.

That's a great laugh of the day-Clinton did not pardon the pope. In the case I'm refering to, there was some guy on death row and the pope requested he be pardoned. To my surprise, Clinton actually did it and spared the guy's life from death. I can't remember the death row inmate's name though...

He pulled me aside and said "in dealing with these patients, see the face of the suffering Christ in them"-he was not implying sacrilege. It takes much energy which is Love is God.
