While, as a Christian, I do not ascribe to the more way out theories about aliens I find anything like this or Ancient Discoveries compelling because if anything it demonstrates much of what my faith teaches; that mankind is something special and has been capable of great things from the beginning. Genesis alludes to a mother culture at Babel from which all others stemmed. It would not surprise me if a similar condition existed before the Flood, possibly more advanced.

I asked the same question! After seeing this episode, I looked up the Mochica culture out of curiosity. Apparently, they specialized in this sort of pottery. But more importantly...the Moche (as they're called now by scholars) lived in the West Coast of Peru - facing the Pacific! Why would Atlantean influence be there?

(My suspicion is that the series cherry picked evidence. Get a culture with weird looking pots and roll with 'em...even if they live next to a totally different ocean!)
