I like this more than the flip but I hate lithium ion batteries, wish this thing ran on AA's but cant get by the 1080p and sd slot

i have one. but the installed software doesnt work when trying to upload to youtube. its very complicated to figure out. can you show more on how to upload after you have made the video. and how to save the videos to my computor. not sure how to do that.

I have this camera and 3 things I dont like much about it. 1) You must have excellent lighting, not just good lighting, but EXCELLENT lighting or your vid will look very grainy. 2) There is edge blur even when mounted 3) The video is still not crisp even under perfect lighting conditions. Oh, and everyone makes fun of the finish.

Anyone notice there picsio uses "fake" resolution to make to get the 720 and 1080p? Change from 1080 to 720 and then 640, you'll notice the camera appears to change it's "zoom" function. aka, fake resolution or interlaced resolution. Nothing to do with this woman's video, but I have noticed this and wanted to share it. Explains why my canon sd400 has crisper res at 640 then my picsio has.

Well I bought a Sony HD Bloggie and it looks really fancy, but the quality s crap I am really not happy. Sony is suppose to be a ogood brand. So I am thinking of buying this JVC one, but is the quality really giid and clear. I record my little niece's all the time and the quality has to be excellent on the tv

Really, It doesn't break up the file? I know my canon, kodak, has a pseudo pause feature. In reality it just stops the recording and creates a new file when "unpause" is hit

@aikoman To change the recording mode (1080p, 720p, VGA, QVGA, press the < button (left side of main navigation control) twice. Each time the < button is pressed twice, the recording mode setting is changed.

@spellgrounds There are several factors that can affect the upload time -- the speed of your computer and the card class, for example. So, sometimes an upload can take some time. Have you successfully uploaded?

I purchased this camera last night, and it honestly does not look good at all. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but on my 1080p HD monitor it looks poorly as well as my 720 HD television. Whats the problem?

@lilman1067 What were the lighting conditions? If it was low light, shoot some footage in brighter light to see how it looks then.

Thats cause your computer sucks, not the camera. It's a 1080p camera, if you dont have the newest fastest system it's gonna lag big time. Get a Mac, that'll solve your problem.

One of the best pocket camera in my opinion. Great colours, great white balance. Full HD mode in joke 1440x1080 but 1280x720@60fps is really good.

i just got one and the hd is a nightmare to use i payed £140 for the unit then another £40 on a 8 gb card then i got it home and pluged it in and it looked ok not a WOW amazing just ok then i took vid with qvga ,vga hd hd 1 and well on an 8gb card i could take a not bad vid on qvga 20hrs then it just gets worst the more hd u use i mean its like it raining on the screen by the time u use hd 1 1hr 27mins of unclear rubbish

I have been seeing it stores, but with a $200 price tag.

I am seeing the kodak zi6 with a $115 price tag, and it uses 2 AA betteries.

I know both camera will end up having the same video quality, I just dont want to be dependent on a camera with only one pripriatery battery.

I have been there done that, when the battery dies for good you end up having to buy a whole new camera.
