I think that in the sense of their music and style, Hey Monday and Paramore are quite similar, but in light of what they sing about, they are completely different. I don't think that the two bands can really be compared in a sense of one being better than the other, because they're so similar in the way of music. Of course some people will like one more than the other, but that doesn't necessarily mean that one is good and one's bad. Personally, I really like both. :)

Sure, there are things you could say are very similar about Hey Monday & Paramore, for example;

They're both taken care of by Fueled by Ramen Records

They're both female fronted four piece bands

Both girls are great singers.

Hey Monday have a more Pop Rock sound to their music, while Paramore have a more Alternative/Punk edge.

I'm not slamming HM's songwriting abilities, because they CAN write good songs but Paramore are definitely superior in that aspect.
