If you have a pci-ex16 slot then no, but make sure you can fit it in your case and tyour power supply can handle it. Another thing make sure you have a good processor so you don't bottleneck the card.

It still is an incredible waste of money. I am still running a 256mb dx9 card and I'm fine with that. If you saw his other videos, you would know that he already invested a boat-load of money on other computer hardware. Last year, he had a video with the 8 series 3-way sli system (and other "toys"). As money doesnt seem to be a problem for you. i recommend picking up 3 9800GTX's. i know people seem to dislike this card as its a copy of the 8800 series but 3 9800GTX's are faster than 2 9800GX2's. so if your after some serious power it might be worth a try?

A. The bottleneck of any CPU todate would make it useless.

B. It doesn't support TRI SLI, you can tell by the fact that it doesn't have 2 SLI connectors on the side, only 1.

ive looked at some benchmarks for the gx2 (which has the same GPU's as the 8800gt and 512gts) and they are quite disappointing. 2 8800gt's still outperform the gx2 in most games by around 2-10%, which is surprising since this card is supposed to the "fastest card ever to be released." Considering the price, its cheaper and better to get 2 8800gt's or G92 gts', which you can get 170-230 USD each on newegg.
