My teacher said i'm lyric bariton, but my high notes can be in tenor's range as well. but i prefer baritone voice so i like to call myself a baritone, haha
Cool! You have a pretty good range. I am a baritone too (I can hit the D below middle C and A below "high C" with a pushy, tight, airy, ugly sound). I am not sure which kind of baritone I belong to. I just sing the base part for school chorus. Can you keep uploading videos? I think I can learn something from you.
Jeff, you have a powerful and sweet voice and nice expression too! If I am not mistaken, you were singing in F major, a tone lower than the original G major. I am trying to learn this song too -- the high notes combined with the long breaths it requires make it challenging.
Jeff, you are such a young man to have so strong a voice! It's wonderful, and the song is beautiful. I haven't heard much Chinese music, but to hear it like this, almost in a Western operatic tradition, makes me want to hear more...especially from you. I think you could possibly be a great international star. Keep studying and try singing everything within your range.
I understand that having a good nature voice is just one of the necessary instrument to start with an operatic performing career. Becoming a professional opera singer is going to be a long way for me, and I am just at the very first stage.....
