The maker of this video needs to rethink the wording used in this piece. In every aspect of life there is always bad "eggs" and it is not fair to the farmer for you to go and paint the picture in peoples minds that all farmers are some sort of cruel Nazi scientist. However, it would be ideal if a kill were made honorably and to limit the suffering of the animals, we are after all intelligent enough to create such an environment. If more people went to the farms instead of grocery stores and saw for themselves how the animal is being treated maybe they would treat them better. Like most primates, we have teeth specialized for grinding plant based food (molars & premolars) and teeth for cutting through meat (incisors & canines). Our bodies require a balanced intake of protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients to work efficiently.
That being said, our society tends to over-consume meats because we are naturally inclined to think they taste better due to energy density.

@Kay7271, Thank you for your post. I have been a vegetarian for over 30 years and a vegan for over 28 years. It was out of compassion for animals and for my spiritual path which emphasizes compassion for all sentient beings, not just humans. I did find that I got a whole lot healthier when I became vegetarian and even more so when I became vegan. As a carnivore, I was very sick and allergy ridden, no one said I had a glow of health about me until I was vegetarian for 2 years.
The maker of this video needs to rethink the wording used in this piece. In every aspect of life there is always bad "eggs" and it is not fair to the farmer for you to go and paint the picture in peoples minds that all farmers are some sort of cruel Nazi scientist. I see your point about the very few individuals that are cruel to animals but reevaluate your aspect on all farmers. I understand the need to farm and the circle of life. However, it would be ideal if a kill were made honorably and to limit the suffering of the animals, we are after all intelligent enough to create such an environment. What's repugnant is the intentional torturing of a helpless animal with the intent to inflict as much pain and suffering as possible that is being criticized here. For that I agree with Kay7271.

First off, around 5000 human deaths occur each year due to food borne illnesses because of factory farming and 76 million illnesses; this happens not because of how your food is cooked, but because of this harmful(whether you want to believe it or not) process that is going on. The amount of antibiotics put in these animals is creating new strands of viruses because the viruses are starting to gain immunity to them (natural selection) and these diseases then get passed on to us, example: H1N1.

Like most primates, we have teeth specialized for grinding plant based food (molars & premolars) and teeth for cutting through meat (incisors & canines). But, please get all the facts straight before you start making American Agriculture look bad. We DO care about our animals. Some readers of all these comments that agree with me and others that will not. Im not trying to make anyone mad. I am just telling the facts that are overlooked. I will be in the agriculture field the rest of my life and no one will stop me from raising my animals. Im just a farm girl that is standing up for her beliefs and I hope other young farm kids will too! Thanks!!!

This proves that we have a lot of people who have no heart. I couldn't watch this. My grandfather had a farm and the animals came first. We have a lot of farms in my state and you never hear of this, ever! Anyone who can do this doesn't deserve the space they live in. I shall pray for these people to get a HEART! As much as it pains me to see this video, I don't think people should stop eating meat & dairy products. Instead, I think that there should be a more humaine way to get those products. And yes, I am against animal abuse. One more thing, no matter what, people are going to do this. even if it's illegal eventually, they'll find ways. It's sad, but true

Yes, animal cruelty is senseless, (and quite subjective at times) but please tell me your not pushing a political agenda towards veganism here, because otherwise my only reply would be to drop from that cloud and appreaciate where the nutrients that brought you to life came from. And by the way....primates are omnivores and this includes "meat" in the diet as well. Last time I checked I was still a primate.

99.9 % of farms are NOT like the ones you show in these videos. If a meat animal producer treats their animals wrong they gain less and the producer makes less money. I think your time is better spent uncovering the slaughter of unborn babies. I few videos of arms and legs being ripped from the unborn babies should concern your viewers !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am an Omnivore... I have a few carnivore teeth in my mouth for a reason. @Kay7271, Thank you for your post. I have been a vegetarian for over 30 years and a vegan for over 28 years. It was out of compassion for animals and for my spiritual path which emphasizes compassion for all sentient beings, not just humans. I did find that I got a whole lot healthier when I became vegetarian and even more so when I became vegan. As a carnivore, I was very sick and allergy ridden, no one said I had a glow of health about me until I was vegetarian for 2 years.
