I HAVE THE SAME CONTROLLER!!! i bought it at the pawn shop because i got my nes from a friend that he never used but it had no controllers only a zapper. i thought it was funny to play with the turbo buttons
sumone just needs to make a portable device that can run emulators and has tons of memory so you cood have all ur fav games handheld. i wood make one but i dont know how to do that shit
Yes, I probably could except the NES-2 isn't quite the same, even the sound is different. So for the same reason I didn't use a NOAC, I used an 80's NES, for authenticity.
Great Job dude. What I like about this one is that the game doesn't atick out 3 inches outa the top. I'm having someone send me one like yours, but it's the size of a Gameboy original. I think he used a Nintendo on a chip since its got games built in.
that is freaking awesome. I especially like how you have an original controller as the "portable"'s controller. For those less adventurous, here are NES "handhelds" via GBA, DS, and GP2X in a split screen head to head video to see the weakness / strengths.
Yes, go to FastMHz.com, click Projects, and then scroll to Portable 8-bit NES. I have some additional pictures and description of what I did to build it.
Don't pay any attention to these stupid people talking about that like it's shit, its awesome

note when i connect my nes to a porteble or hd lcd screen i got manny issues.

NTSC or PAL? My PAL Version (Germany) uses 9V AC. Ur mashine lookes like it use batteries. how did u build the ac to DC converter?????
michaelboett173 2 years ago
Mine is NTSC...and the NES, despite having an AC adapter, runs on DC just fine.

That would rule, except, the light gun does not work on LCDs. You *must* have a CRT. Not sure about plasmas.

O I see. But it would be cool if it did. Very nice project. Very clean.

@FastMHz Yeah doesn't work with plasma I tried and no help at all :/

Yes, I probably could except the NES-2 isn't quite the same, even the sound is different. So for the same reason I didn't use a NOAC, I used an 80's NES, for authenticity.

now you have a true porteble nes cuzz the b&w gameboy suffers in graphics&sound in comparision with the nes.
also the nes 1 mhz proccesor runs much faster than in average the 4 mhz proccesor gameboy cuzz it has more work ram.
just awesome!!!!!
