This is a good find. 80cc's is a nice spot between the 50's and 125's, where you get excellent gas mileage and can still ride more than adequate speeds for sidestreets and light highway travel.
Having gone through the work of trying to turn my china-scoot into a semi-reliable bike (replaced hoses, fuses, spark plug, fluids, loctite on bolts, etc).. I can certainly say it would be nice to just land a Honda with such low mileage.
To all who may watch this video FYI their is a major price difference between Chinese scoots, and Japanese scoots. Japanese scoots are made with quality, and built to last. As a result they cost more. Chinese scoots are of lesser quality, and they are not built to last. As a result they cost less. You get what you pay for. If any of you think i paid too much money for my scoot please think before opening your mouths. I hate how people keep thinking Japanese scoots cost the same as Chinese!
@littledevilbikes1 Man, I just told them that it was a 50. They bought it and let me go. Thing is, it develops as much HP as a 50cc 2 stroke, which was what the law was aimed at.
hi i am ordering a big bore kit (80cc) for my 4 stroke chinese scooter and it comes with a (CylinderPiston,Piston Rings,Gudgeon Pin,Circlips,Required Gaskets,Larger Main Jet (.85)) is this all i need?? please help.
@jet62095 Big Oil makes more €a$h from selling the real stuff. It clogs up city skies (smog), and they spill it everywhere. As long as 99% of cars are gasoline, Big Oil is too big to fail.

For a 2003, it looks like it came out of 1985. LOL. I'm actually getting one of these little babies myself. I actually do like the styling of it. I think it's a cute little machine.
you a lot like my friend... haha. could you be??? lmao. anyways... i thought you only need a m2 license for 149cc and lower. just passing the written test can get you the m2 right? i'm also planning on getting one but what do you think about having one as a daily commuter? can we really park that tiny thing in the parking lot and stuff without worrying about having others just... pick it up and walk away with it? toss it in the back trunk or something...?
@idkyoo as a daily commuter it may depend on your home to work location. If you normally use the highways it may not be the best choice, but if you are looking for something to drive to your job at the local Pizza hut (example) it probably will be ok. Where i live the roads are an average of 35 mph, and the scoot keeps up with the traffic nicely. Better than a 49cc scoot anyday.
@idkyoo Im not sure about the liecence requirements because different states have different laws. I could of taken the road test at the DMV, but i took the safety course just to get it over with because the DMV only conducts motorcycle road tests at a certain time of the year at a different DMV center farther away than the one i normally go to which is a different area than what i am used to.
@craig1974 ah i see... thanks for the reply and seriously... you got one hell of a deal. and i meant to say "you sound a lot like my friendt" i left out the "sound" haha... and i live in cali... actually i should just look up the info now xD
@idkyoo your welcome. People think i paid too much for the scoot because they think Japanese scoots have Chinese prices. They fail to realize that their is a big difference in pricing. If you buy cheap Chinese you get what you pay for which is junk!
@idkyoo About theft i usually park the scoot within close distance of a building, or within close sight of a window. If i scoot to the ghetto i take my bicycle cable with me. When i was at Home Depot once i chained the scoot to the shopping cart corral.
I paid a fair price for the scoot, but not a high price. You should see some of the prices on them scoots in the local Craigslist's. Ive seen people ask $1,500 for them scoots with 2,500 miles when mine only had 540 miles at the time. If you think what i paid was too much you should see what the dealers charge for them used! In my opinion you buy cheap you get cheap quality. Im sick of people that price Japanese scooters with Chinese prices.
You can't go wrong with a Honda scooter, I've a had a little 50cc Vision made in 1992 for a year nowm just about to to get a motorbike. But I've never had a problem with it, the nearest I've had to breaking down was a loose carb, and that was my fault. They are really well made machines.
Very nice Scoot man! I had the brother to this one.. a 2002 Honda Elite 80cc 750 miles on it, well taken care of too.. and you are right, it makes all the difference if the Scoot was owned by responsible people. You'll have to go to my youtube page and see my old Honda Aero NH80 vintage 80cc ...it's a 2-stroke,. which is very unique and vintage looking and very quick from point a- point b Hope you did well and got your mC endorsement peace2fingers Carson
@sixstring2slim thanks for your sincere comment, and understanding. Unfortunately some narrow minded people keep saying that i paid too much money for my scoot. Of course their are some older Honda Elites with low mileage for sale on Craigslist which may be a better value, but parts age when the scoots sit. Tires dry rot, fuel systems gum up, and engine gaskets may age. Since i did not want any headaches buying an ancient scoot i bought a newer Honda. I did get my motorcycle endorsement.
Sweet ride dude! I'm in the market for the exact model but more in the 1990's vintage. They're difficult to obtain because fuel prices are going to hover around $3.00 a gallon and most folks like to keep them. You only need a M2 license for automatic scooters and the driving test is a breeze. Couple of figure eights and written test and you'll be good 2 go!
Well opinions are like assholes. In my opinion i think i did not get ripped compared to other scooters on CL with similar mileage. Finding a scooter like this with less than 600 miles that was owned by a responsible adult was a pretty good deal for $1500.00. You have to be careful of what you buy!
No doubt about it...the laws are a little more tight out here. I use to live in Detroit for a while and rode a suzuki GS 500, and had a Honda express 50cc for around town...WITH NO PLATE! I have to admit though...I was pretty stealth like on the Express, side streets only!!! Not for nothing...But your friend must be a pretty large dude, to make a 250 look like a 50!!! LOL....no disrespect my friend. Peace
I just bought a 86 with 4000 miles on it for $600 yesterday myself bro...and I'm in the same boat! I have to sill get my endorsment yet! Which sucks! But yeah the fucking thing is clean for $600...I'm not saying you got riped off, your scoot has low miles. I live in San Francisco, I can rock this scooter year round. Long story short...These are cool little scooters! PS: I almost spit my beverage on the keyboard when you said " Son of a Bitch! the battery is dead again". LOL!
you live in cali, so almost everything needs a plate, but in stated where 50cc's dont need a plate, as long as it looks like a scooter, the cops dont bother ya. my friend has a 250 scooter, and it isnt registered and he hasnt had any issues with the cops....
Dude you paid 1500 for it lol I just traded for one and If was to be paying I would only be paying 600 for it lol and mine runs like new and practiclly is new but nice tho......minez the same color =P
If people think i paid too much for the scooter i suggest they do a search on a Craigslist search engine to see what they really sell for. I paid big bucks for mine because it was owned by a responsible adult with less than 600 miles. I could of gotton a same older 1980's model for cheaper, but tires could be dryrotted, or the fuel system could be gummed up. Thats why i spent the extra money, and bought a newer scooter. $1500 for a 80cc scooter seems excessive.
For the same cash, you probably could've gotten a used MSF trainer. 250cc, and it'll operate on ANY road in the US (~70MPH top speed).

Tires new every 4 years. I almost died on 7 year old tires that looked great.
Rubber gets hard after 6 years and becomes easy for a blow out.
20/20 did a show on Britian which makes tire safety law at a 6 year limit.
