  • Too cute! Thanks for sharing this post with the rest of us :)

  • It's so wonderful that someone so young can get into dharma. I heard that they have classes for kids learning dharma, i think it's call MKC? She's a very sweet girl. Rinpoche really do change everyone, not mater how old, what race or religion you are.

  • The violin music is so sweet!

  • If you really want to help your kids - don't let them play the recorder!

Most of us in cyberland won't know the Kechara people you all mention, from a bar of soap.

But bringing your kids up in the dharma - with them learning from the examples you show in your speech & actions - is surely the best start a child can have

  • If kids at young age have already started makng connections with Dharma or a Guru, then these kids will undoubtedly grow up to be much better people in the future. Don't we need more of that!

  • What a nice kid to wish Rinpoche a Happy Birthday :)

  • Kechara is a great example of a successful and leading Budddhist organisation in this region that made a difference, especially when majoritys focus is making money and having fun. I really bow down to the Kechara people who are willing to give up their pursue of money and fame to work in Dharma- thats the most impressive of all, to me at least.

  • I think so too, as they only had a small Dharma centre back in 2004, and now they have 12 departments, and departments are buying their own BUILDING. Quite an impressive organisation and its non profit too!

  • I hope that myself and my children will have to good fortune like the people mentioned above. How meritorious. And I know for a fact that these people work FULL TIME for the Dharma, regardless of their commitments.

  • Talking about Whos Who in Kechara, I got a copy of the DVD too from one of the Kechara Paradise shops. I saw this interesting parent and son , David Lai and Uncle Lai. Its great to hear that David has improved tremendously, in terms of character building and also spiritually, through His Eminences teachings and also through work in the organisation.

  • Theres also Kechara Media & Publications CEO Li Kim, and her mom, Datuk May Phng, Director of Operations in Tsem Ladrang, and Exco of Tsem Kacho Ling.

  • I got a Whos Who in Kechara DVD and profile from a recent Kechara Paradise roadshow in Sunway Pyramid, and saw the interview about parents and kids in Kechara. There are parents with young kids who attend Manjushri Kids Class, there are also parents with older kids who have joined forces to contribute in Dharma. Very impressive.

  • How nice to have family members working in the same organisation that benefit others tremendously, and working towards spiritual progress together as well. I am very envious of Kechara people :(

  • @bimbothroneholder - just curious - why are you envious?

  • I recently read that Liaison of Kechara Soup Kitchen, Ms Ruby Khong, her daughter Jean Ai has joined the Ladrang. Another good example of how Kechara is great that the parents support their kids working in Dharma.

  • His mother is Liaison of Kechara Media & Publications, Sharon Saw ;) Needless to say, Rinpoches liaisons are all very impressive- and that goes for their kids too I guess.

  • Yes, I saw Seans video talking about Rinpoche and his altar. He speaks well. He must be well brought up by his family and the Kechara family.

  • Looks like they had a lot of fun from the video. Also, I am impressed with the kids, especially the interview part. Looks like they had a lot of fun from the video. Also, I am impressed with the kids, especially the interview part.

  • You meant the Manjushri Kids Class video, right? Quite interesting to see these young kids doing prayers like Tsongkhapas mantra and all.

  • Too bad theres no Manjushri Kids Class here! I would love to send my nephews and nieces there to learn meditation. I saw how they did the breathing meditation before class. Superb!

  • I think I saw this kid before in the kid class. Shes the daughter of one of the members of Chinese-speaking community in Kechara.

  • I recognise her. Shes one of the student in Manjushri Kids Class

  • Manjushri Kids Class has now grown to include so many activities- animal liberation, feeding the homeless with Kechara Soup Kitchen and so on.

  • Must be a kid of one of the Kechara members.

  • Whos this kid?

  • So...adorable..!

  • Happy Birthday Rinpoche!

  • Rinpoche is so full of compassion. Everyone who attended his birthday celebration was in awe at Rinpoche's simple yet deeply meaningful teachings.

  • How cute! Best wishes for your birthday and for this new year before you!

  • :-D

  • Happy Birthday Rinpoche la
