  • When you texturizer, arent you supposed to add a moisturizing conditioner to make it not not harsh? .. sry, im new to this.

  • @Shalayah2010 Oh you can add an oil or conditioner. Its good to measure the quantity you put in the first time and write it somewhere. If you like the results keep doing so with the same oil/ conditioner. Note that thicker oils work better than carrier oils at preventing over-processing. Now I just Just For Me Texture Softner and it gives my hair looser curls. I absolutely love it :-)

  • what texturizer did you use?

  • @iStarrgirl Right now I use Just for Me Texture Softener. I used to use Organic Root Stimulator in Regular but JFM does a better job of giving more consistent results.

  • Very nice!

  • @txb4u Thank you!

  • I had to do the same thing. My hair is about 12 inches now. Sew in weaves helped mine grow too.

  • @Hollyweirdrevealed Glad to hear! all the best on your journey!

  • this video really inspires me..... i think i will do a video for over 400 days worth of photos and stuff.. :) great video

  • @ToxicKisses315 Thank you so much. Be sure to send me the link :-)

  • i almost jumped for joy after seeing the starting pic of your healthy hair journey, such a dramatic difference! You hair looks a lot happier now. For those who say, hair is just hair, they just dont know better. When its taken care of it can make all the difference. keep it up!

  • @Nitra813 Thank you so much! So glad I started this journey (",) Best wishes!

  • Keep it up. My hair is about the same length as yours at the end of the video. I'm trying to grow it out but it's not happening and my hair used to be armpit length(before I dyed it and destroyed my hair:/) But yeah. I hate getting weaves but I might try it. You got some good growth.

  • @Kellcur Thank you Chica. All the best on your journey!

  • how many weeks/ months did you stretch for ?

  • @Kay3Natural well usually its 18 weeks but I am currently 20 weeks post aiming for 22. Week before school starts I will texlax again.

  • Love this. I'm going through a similar process only I also incorporate braiding into the mix to make it grow even faster and i've seen about 5 in. of growth in almost a year. Your video is an inspiration. I want more. lol

  • @dw29376 You should seriously check out the Braid Regimen if your haven't already. The website is growafrohairlong[dot]com[slash]braidreg. I prefer weave so not all of it applies to me but it is a great resource for those that love braids.

  • @AfricanDivaDolls Thanks girl , I sure did go and check it out :)

  • @dw29376 Hope it helped :)

  • This video is such a great motivation. Thanks! do you self relax? what relaxer do you use? what other things are part of your regimen. Keep doing videos please!

  • @virgivane I'm glad this helped you! :-) I could do a video about answering your questions hopefully this weekend. Thanks for inquiring.

  • l had to subscribe you have beautiful hair and l love your progresss. your hair has grown a lot. l just started texlaxing 4 days ago . l cant wait till my hair gets tio your lenghth. can you do a tutorial on how you do the greenhouse effect on texlaxed hair . l usd to do it when l was natural but now that lm texlaxed l dont know how to do it.

  • @Maivepo1 OMG you totally made my day :-D. Sure I can do one. Its funny how time flies and before you know it a year has passed and you have thicker longer hair. Thank you for subbing and watch out for that video :-)

  • great progress girlie!!!

  • @cshanklin Thank you!

  • Are you going natural or do you just relax your new growth?

  • @ShereeW1 I texlax my new growth which is a relaxer but I keep it in for less than the recommended time to intentionally under-process my hair. This way I keep some of my natural texture and makes it look and feel thicker than it would be had I relaxed bone straight. Hope this helped :-)

  • Great job! HHJ!!

  • @LivingPink08 Thank you. HHJ to you too :-)

  • lovely growth sis... r u @ college while on ur HHG???

  • @154angel154 Yeah I am. Its tough but thank God for protective styling like braids :-)
